Where to stay overnight near Portsmouth for ferry early morning?

We arrived at Port Solent tonight at about 6.15 pm and there were plenty of places for smaller vans but nowhere for our 7.5 metre one.

The " overnighting by prior arrangent" signs are still up.

If you're using 'spoons download their app, you can order and pay at the table, it saves queuing at the bar.
? I've been using their app for, err must be a couple of years. Going to a pub bar now is positively quaint ?

Did you find a pitch they dont normally worry if you take two on the perimeter
Provided you telephone them

I love most Wetherspoons - free coffee top ups and the WiFi isn't to bad, and the food is good value. Not all have power sockets available though. However, it does rather depend on the area. I love the one in Petersfield, but I walked out of the one in Waterlooville - maybe I'm too much of a snob or something, but I don't want to go into one that appears to be full of tramps.

We took up four.
I guess Sunday evening cinema is popular, but about 8 pm we went to the port where there were loads already (although maybe that was because our 11pm ferry had been delayed til the morning.)

If it's windy it may be best to park the other end from the marina because the yacht's rigging makes quite a lot of noise.
