Where to get tyres fitted?

FYI
Anybody coming to one of rallies at Woodside Field we have a good tyre fitting service just up the road from us, they also have a mobile service and will visit our CL.

On my previous van I used Black Circle to supply and fit ( they had a buy 4 get 25% off deal at the time)..they then send a list of all their "local to you" fitters. Just pick the nearest..Oh and if you are going to sell soonish don't go for "Camper" tyres, go for standard Commercial vehicle tyres. I seem to remember my set of 4 cost £295 fitted.

Oh, I remember they were a name brand too! Avon I think

Get several like for like quotes, don't think the tyre place you used last time will give you the best deal, but, they may do.

We recently had our tyres changed on our drive by Halfords Tyres On The Drive. Cheaper than local competitors. Our rims Already had metal valves which were used with the new tyres. The fitter was extremely pleasant and professional and I would rate him and the service above any I have used previously.

Thanks for the info Tim.

I've just had 4 225/75R16 MICH AGICRSCL 121/120R all season tyres fitted at Kwik Fit as they had 15% discount if you buy 2 or more, I negotiated and got all 4 for £727.80

The first tyres we bought for our motorhome were supplied and fitted by tyres on the drive. Recently I wanted another tyre but tyres on the drive couldnt supply or fit in this area.
I used Black Circles as suggested by a forum user. They supplied the tyre to the local National Tyres depot. Our motorhome wouldn’t fit in there bays but they were happy to change the tyre on the forecourt.

Very satisfied with Kwikfit, both mobile service and garage.
I think Tyrepal recommend metal valve stems because the wind resistance of the large 'blob' on the end when the wheel is spinning quickly causes sideways stress which in turn can cause bending, leakage, or failure of rubber stems.
