We've removed the oven from our 2019 adria and now require a blanking cap for the Truma manifold ,pictured .👇
id presumed this would be easy to buy but it seems the only way to get this blank is to buy the entire manifold and take off the blanking olive and screw on thingy .

has anyone had any luck purchasing something suitable ,ideally with a link .
(Note pipe work missing was sold with the oven )

Just seach Google for 8mm gas blank cap, or blanking nut..I think its the standard size... several results include Truma in the result

The nut will be different to most fittings but the blank will be standard i have some spare valves kitting around that the nuts are the same if you cant get one or just buy a single valve use the nut buy a blank

Looks like a fairly standard caravan/ moho gas manifold. I would think any major dealer would have the appropriate nut in their shop.

Ok. If the gas tap is off, then how? No gas is going to pass the valve so why is an accident going to happen? If I were relying on a cheapo plastic cap to stop a gas leak I would change the manifold

In theory it would be fine but being left uncapped would leave anyone open to say not haveing an insurance payout through fire
It would not pass any safety check

Ok. I am being educated about insurance companies. But what danger is there?
Do you know about the safety check?

Just to add, I today replaced all the second hand Spanish stuff I bought off a Funster from bottle to regulator just to be reassured about the safety. So I am not immune to safety.

The cap required is brass and you wouldnt be relying on a cheap plastic cap .The accident i refer to are all may bes and if

I hear what you say so will wait for others to reply. If a brass cap is going to stop gas getting by, what is the valve for?

Have you still got the original pipe that went into the fitting? If so, cut a short piece off and flatten the end that isn't going into the fitting and then solder it to seal. Use the original nut and olive to blank off the fitting.

Because a tap (isolation valve) can be opened without the need of tools , whereas a properly fitted blank will require tools and positive intent to by pass
Ah. I take that on board.👍 But no intrinsic safety issue unless opened.
Belt and braces.

But who I their right mind would open the valve? Children maybe

Really ?
It’s classed as immediately dangerous as there’s always a set of unexpected circumstances that result in an accident and an open ended gas fitting is definitely an accident waiting to happen ⚠️
I see that. I remain re-educated. I cannot understand what unexpected circumstances could be but able accept you are way more informed than I am,
But, it is not open ended As the tap is off. But, I see that if you have to completely close off the gas then a blank is required.

Neither the nut or the blanks are standard.
