We have just gone through the same, I put in a complaint about the procedure, had added running board, and sent a picture which they accepted and gave us the classification.

Is the DVLA possibly realising their mistake and cockup in this matter and without admitting it are slowly reclasifying their errors to "save face"...
No probably too much to ask for.. however it gives hope to those who want a "Motorcaravan".
I was lucky got mine reclassified before this all started.

Excellent news.

Surprised they rolled over that easy though. No changes to the guidance on the Gov.UK website, but I wonder if there has been an internal change of policy?

What did you do?

Just resubmit with a strongly worded letter?

I think my first application was perhaps rejected due to not correct or not enough photos and I didn't write on the back with description and date (as required)

The second time, I downloaded the application and 'tick form' with the requirements from the Gov web site , and supplied good quality 6x4 prints with description and date written on the
back ..

I replied to your other thread regarding your Van with windows. The vehicle category should be M1
