There putting EV charger points in, 8 of them so it looks like no more leccy here for us, you can still stay as we and one other have but no power.
8 ev bays in total, I can't see how that makes any sense financially considering the thousands it's cost to put them in, must be some sort of deal with the leccy company.

At the back next to the green box is the old leccy point.

Since 2008 & many years tugging
She'll garage near up took out 2 rows of pumps and put in 18 charging points & they were closed for months while doing the work.
You may see 1 or 2 cars a week charging but there are always queues at the pumps.

If you care to look back about 3 weeks ago I commented on this when we stayed on our way home. šŸ˜‰

EV chargers can provide at least 13 amps at 230v, nearly 3000w. That's around 250 amps at 12volts. You could charge a 200ah lithium battery in about an hour from flat. Should be enough to last you a Night with no hook up........
You won't be doing that with your motorhome.

Knowing its location right off junction 11 on the M6 and the fact a pub / restuarant is there it most likely will make them more money than a few vans staying over. There is a Hungry horse pub very close and that has also fitted some EV chargers.

There are a few other overnight options around this area, look on SFS, really depends if you need EHU just for a night stop.

I have added an update on SFS and will have a ride past later to see it myself, although its local we rarely go to that pub.

I believe the commercial EV chargers exchange information with your car before they will connect.

Here's us Wednesday night, this part of their carpark is sloped, unlike the old area now being developed.
It's very easy to get here, being only a few minutes of the M6-M6 toll junction and it's a dead end road so very quiet at night.
Foods ok as well.

Why not?

There's a few mentions on here of adapters for your EHU point.
This is true, I was going to mention it but wasn't sure it wasn't a joke, if it is right you can now connect to any of the new ones.

Doesnā€™t look much progress to when we visited in March.

Spoke to staff, ok to park anywhere in their car park but difficult to find reasonably level spot.

It's happened all over norway, all the eateries etc all report a growth in business.

But of course they are much farther down the ev adoption road than anyone else.

There are cables available about Ā£180 specially designed for this I will look up the details and post! You will find details at https://brucelauderdale.com/juicybrucie but I have seen a site on YouTube where you can use the guys link to get a discount!
I won't be buying one of them, no need anyway as I've got a lithium battery.

I already have.....got myself a 200amp power supply and made the cable up. The comms with the EV is two resistors, one to say its connected the other to spec the ev charge cable capacity. There's a few doing it.

As for having lithium batteries being a reason not to do it, it's a reason to do it with the C rating being 1 on plenty of batteries. 200 amps at 12 volts.....tells you a story if your clued up enough to realise the potential.
