I'm writing an article about motorhome shows and I like to get a handle on your fave shows.

Whether you rally with us or just attend as a day visitor. Click here and tell us your favourite show, it will take 5 just seconds. Cheers

I think there needs to be a division made between 'Grass' and 'Shed' shows.

Grass shows (mostly outdoors) tend to be wider, have thousands camping for a long weekend, and it's a lot about the entertainment.

Shed shows (mostly indoors) are all about the stands.
There is very little, if any, camping and usually very little by way of entertainment

and I was thinking "Martin Clunes? nah"; "Susan Calman? nope; "Britains most expensive moho" we never get beyond the title...
I guess they are cheap TV, and feed off the supposed boom in Moho interest.
I'm just not interested watching normal people slowly presenting things that to us are distinctly ordinary, (and we refuse to be impressed with obscene bling, as a life survival skill).
 The other sort of MH show are fractionally more interesting; though I've only ever gone for a day.

Another vote for Malvern. Like the location and the theme (Western) but I’m not a closet cowgirl - honestly!

Not found one I think reflects reality as I know it. Happy to be pointed in the right direction though.

I enjoyed the Norfolk show when I went. Not far from us and a good weekend. Only other one I’ve been to was NEC, too much for one day.

We went to the NEC twice, once to look at the vans in 2014 as we were buying and again about 3 years later. Don't think I'll go again, it was expensive and really it's becoming a thing of the past anyway. Everybody is online nowadays, you can simply look for reviews, videos etc then visit a dealership free of charge without the crowds.

In your experience has anyone tried to set up a S/H show?

People might be willing to pay a few bob for two reasons

1. It would save traipsing all over the country to look at MHs which they find out do not suit.

2. People would be able to see the layouts of 5, 10 year-old models which are no longer produced but available S/H

The S/H market must be bigger than new, judging by how many different MHs some owners have had in just a few years.

Ah I think you mean second hand. All the outdoor shows feature used motorhomes of all ages.

We like the Malvern show the best, maybe because it was our first but it’s certainly been the one we’ve been to most often. We miss the big Funster tent and remember our first in the pouring rain when it was just two pop up type things tied together!

Enjoyed a fair few at Stratford as well. Just one at Lincoln, Newbury and the NEC.

Caravan Salaon, huge range of models from across the world, although few from the UK. Is this indicitive of the build quality and they struggle to sell in Europe?

Sent my two pence worth of vote but as have only ever been once to Lincoln and once to Peterborough it's not really a fair reflection of my favourite.

We liked Malvern and Stratford show last year so going again this year

We’ve done Peterborough a few years ago which was crap imo and Caravan Salon 2 years ago and never will again I doubt

Lincoln first, Shepton second for touring location. Used to like Peterborough one best (the Moose bar!). Like Malvern location, but can’t stand Country & western and daft dress up costumes.
Pity there’s nothing further north for us northerners!

Definitely not NCC. I have never understood having a motorhome show in a place that doesn’t allow overnight parking! If ‘elf & Safety has any part of it, go elsewhere. There MUST be overnight parking; the organisers will have a good proportion of those that will revisit the show on the 2nd day. NCC stands for No Camping Centre 😄
