I'm writing an article about motorhome shows and I like to get a handle on your fave shows.

Whether you rally with us or just attend as a day visitor. Click here and tell us your favourite show, it will take 5 just seconds. Cheers

Got quite a few coming in. Please add yours, it only takes a few seconds. When you've done it, please post here to say you have. That should keep the thread visible for a while. Thanks (y)

You have lost the plot son, that's a music festival.
Is it? Might not be when warners have had their hands on it for a few years!!!

I thought it was a car show🤣🤣 it’s got stalls, RVs to look round🤷‍♂️😁

It’s still better than warners show!
Maybe I should have read the title, literally👍

I’ll edit it out, nah sod it I’ll leave it in🤣🤣🤣🤣

Only been to about four 'grass' versions over the last 5 years.
Plus the NEC a few times

The general consensus is that none of the shows are as good as they were pre-pandemic.
Similar numbers of visitors, but fewer trade stands and fewer dealer stands showing fewer models.

The issue that some major brands have stopped appearing at all in the UK market can not be good.
Likewise if the number of smaller traders who sell a few specialised items are being priced out of the trade shows,
it is not good for the motorhome market in general.

I want a 'grass' show where the guy who makes some obscure item that we all may need some time in his garden shed over the winter period and sells in the summer period.
I want the lady who makes cakes and sells them on a picnic table from her motorhome.
And we really all need the stand that sells a range of tools, t-shirts, flags and deckchairs.

But likewise we need the Hymers, N&B's etc of the world to fill the centre space with a selection of fabulous vehicles far out of the reach of normal humans.

And I want a selection of beer and food tents some with entertainment.
I'm happy for a couple of headline acts as well, but that is not going to make me attend a show

Last year the show traders numbered as many as I'd seen for 8 years. Malvern and Lincoln saw plenty of the major dealers back with big stands. (They have so many to sell)

Wandering around the motorhomes was great and like the good old days with so much to see. Meanwhile, the visitor numbers are higher than ever. Pre Covid, the shows were declining. Not any more, and well worth a visit (y)

They are not out of reach if you buy sensibly, i.e. secondhand.
