What's with the inverted village name signs? (3 Viewers)

As the title says, we notice lots of village name signs are inverted, someone on here must know the reason.

It's a form of protest against the government.

We noticed this in France last week. Yes - its to do with the farmers protests against government.

Why French village and town road signs are being turned upside down

The upside-down signs first appeared in Tarn, Occitanie, and have spread nationally, but it is in Brittany that they are most visible

Not only the 'Village' signs.

We even saw a huge direction sign on the E60 (N165) North of Vannes had been turned
upside down.

How they did that, it being in the central reservation of a Dual Carriageway, beggers belief.
