Pitched up on site and have had this noise going for some hours. It's a regular fast continous squeek, squeek, squeek, squeek. It sounds like it's coming from around the heater area but is loudest under the van. It is running at about 200 beats per minute. It sounds like the farmer's field sprinkler, at first I thought it was, but it's coming from my van.

I've turned off mains, 12v, pump, gas and fridge. No difference
I've run taps, drained the heater, run the gas cooker, turned off the victron charger and retracted the Goldscmitt legs. Nothing changes!
I even wonder if there could be something underground, like a pump, but short of moving the van. I doubt it.

I realy don't want to go to bed tonight with this unsorted.

Sorry can't help, but your "bike pump" analogy was spot on. (y)
Maybe try isolating the starter battery today ?
Hope you get to the bottom of it.🤞

But I've had all the electric off and the noise continues. Just thought, the only electric that is on is the starter battery. But what's on that that works near the back underside of the vehicle. Fiat.
Reason I chose those item was because some of them are not switched off with turning hab electrics off. Not in my van anyway. The fridge, the boiler, fridge fan are constantly powered.

I could be wrong (as usual:doh:) but when I was crawling under our AT a year or two ago I came across a large multi connector and THINK a relay located on the nearside just behind the rear wheel. Further "Googling" suggested it is a FIAT original installation provided for use by the convertor. Couldn't be that could it (but do note my initial comment!:whistle2:)?

Another thought one of the fans in the Truma Combi, the Combi is still powered when the 12v is off via a 10amp fuse in fuse bank beside the Elektroblock to the left of the EBL in mine looking at the front.
It was still going at 4 this morning but was stopped when we got up at 8. Hard to find something that's not there. Did it sound like a fan?

Right position for it. As it's now stopped, fault finding is impossible.

Yes it did, you should have pulled the 10 amp heater fuse last night then that would have ruled out one item or found the problem.
Don't tell me it was too late you kept me up long enough.

Unfortunately I was making my own noises when you suggested this last night Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
The thought that struck me was the van was extremely hot. our pitch has no shade and despite all windows open it was like an oven. Plus (she) had had the water heater on hot (why??) but that was off a couple of hours before we turned in and I had drained the heater and run some hot water off to see if it stopped. The noise was under thr van and beside the heater but I suppose the fan would vent under the van. So you could be right.

There is a combustion fan that effectively vents through the flue on the side wall.
The other one it air distribution one I doubt if its that one.

A fan on the fridge was my initial thought and it's surprising how far noise travels, especially on a quiet night but that should be easy to check so don't know what to suggest except, if it's not running this morning when it's cooler, it might be temperature controlled? Good luck!

Thanks all. Two contenders have been suggested. One is a feed box for tow bar wiring but I suspect Lenny HB has it with the heater fan being fed from the starter battery.
I'll check when back home.(y)

Just another thought, I do not know what batteries you have but, I seem to think that some of the Lithium ones have a self-supporting unit on the top that allows them to be just a simple swap for 'normal' batteries. Might these contain a fan for air circulation?

Sorry I couldn't hear the clip, the only suggestion I have is that if you have an alarm it could be the backup battery starting to fail, I had this in a car, but it would be a fairly loud chirp and regular almost like a smoke detector battery going flat, in saying that you don't have a smoke/co2 detector stuck away in a cupboard somewhere?
