Whats Acceptable In A Floor Damp Repair

possible but a 2 years i would assume ( i know assume means ASS of U & ME :giggle: ) it had its first as normal then this is its second but i'm guessing.

Yes its covered under warranty. I'm just not sure about PART of the floor being replaced. It is very soft at one spot and the area is about 18 inches x 3inches though the 18 inches could be longer as there might be damp under the water tank.

can understand your concern. is the floor affected both on the inside and underneath the van? so that they have to replace a "sandwich of floor" not just one surface.

they will probably need to put some sort of strengthening in to attach the new part of the floor too the existing.

It had a hab check when we bought it 2nd hand at end of July. These were the readings then. I have to say Marquis do seem to be dealing with it fine, I'm just concerned about the floor patch. For ref the damp is in the bottom right of floor image, below the no9. Its seemingly getting in here. Theres some staining but no visual drips

Is there any damage evidence at the point of water ingress.
If the previous owner hit the roof, then that might void any guarantees.

So its now turned out the warranty claim to replace part of the floor has been rejected and dealer advised to dry it out.
Any legal advice here? I think I'm seriously ready for ???

What grounds were given for the rejection?

Absolutely no idea, I guess they believe their product will dry out ok as that’s what they have advised the dealer to do.

I guess I’ll have to go along with it in the meantime to see what the outcome is.

But surely without any remedial action the underlying problem remains unresolved.

Id suggest talking to a solicitor, who should offer you a free initial consultation.

Oh the underlying problem is being addressed, a leak on the roof and new end caps being replaced.
