What water hose adapter ?

Take the rose off first. It's universal and guaranteed to fit every tap.

Helen, it will not work with the new Urbaflux fitting as in post #8. Been there, tried, and got soaking wet.

I can see it now a whole convoy of funsters following LennyB.
1) for the water connections,
2) for the best free parking spots and
3) to sort your electrics out for you.
LennyB I love reading your posts.

If you're paying for water, why would you not fill up your tank, don't get it. 🤷‍♂️
We only pay for bottled water. The tank water is for washing and cleaning. So far I have never had to pay for tap water anywhere although always leave a donation if possible.

Generally we are on a site every 3rd or 4th night.

Everyone is different.

If we do ever manage to go to abroad in the MH again (looking very unlikely) we may have to use the fittings that are still in a bag in the garage as they were never used.

I agree with the other posts except on one point. Don't just take one of each adaptor have at least 2 or 3 of each. I rarely have a trip across the channel where I don't leave at least one adaptor on a tap when I drive off. Just back from Spain and realised I had left my large thumbscrew adaptor for plain taps, which I have had for years, on a tap. I know exactly what tap, but that just makes it more annoying.
I must follow you around, I've got loads of different adaptors that I've found over the years😉

Did you not see my reply in this post then?

Yup, that's what I do, but interested to see if there is actually a male to hose connector as I have never seen one.

I'm not going to spend money on diesel to travel to a site to save money on water. :giggle:
We are never desperate for water and we have all day to head in that direction - for the nights when we want a shower.
We tend to put in half a tank of water - have a shower and empty the waste tank in the morning before leaving.
What water is left in the tank usually last us for three or four days.

Learned the hard way that although cheaper adaptors are available it is best to cough up for Hozelock - they tend not to come off the tap as soon as you turn it on…..

Can anyone tell me what kind of water hose adapter I need to carry travelling in France , Spain and Portugal ?
Thanks
I would take a selection as there are several types in France alone even if one type does most of them. You can always use a local hardware store if you cant pre-purchase them. You dont want to be without water.

Its all been said. Hozelock,

These are handy sometimes when you find just an ordinary tap without a connection. Also fold flat water containers with handles hardly take any space. Enjoy
