Can anyone tell me what kind of water hose adapter I need to carry travelling in France , Spain and Portugal ?
Thanks

We have come across a few with quick couplings recently and as soon as you push the coupling in water starts coming out hence the tap👍

Take a selection of adaptors. Can only realy speak for France (not been to the others). The Hozelock type are most common but you still come across "smooth end" taps in some of the less populus locations. I have one of these adaptors to fit on a kitchen tap that has a thumbscrew on the side.

I agree with the other posts except on one point. Don't just take one of each adaptor have at least 2 or 3 of each. I rarely have a trip across the channel where I don't leave at least one adaptor on a tap when I drive off. Just back from Spain and realised I had left my large thumbscrew adaptor for plain taps, which I have had for years, on a tap. I know exactly what tap, but that just makes it more annoying.

You need a hozelok double male adapter for some urbaflux waterpoints in France....

I carry a selection and this includes a double male connector as above post. This allows you to connect both ends of your hose together so no drips come out when travelling.

I have found this type of tap in France, more and more. So this male to male adapter is a must-have in my opinion. I like the one with the tap earlier in the thread and will locate one.

Do you mind telling me where you sourced the green quick connector with tap? I can find many quick connectors but most male to male ones I’ve seen don’t have a tap. we were at a site in Marseillan plage that needed a quick adaptor, which I had, but got soaked to the skin as once connected, water gushed out under pressure wasting a lot of my timed water as I struggled to get the container under the tap. A tap would have been ideal.

Thanks I’ll get one

You don’t need a male to male connector we have a female at one end of hose and male at other when we have finished filling empty hose then coil hose and join together no drips in garage

Where did you get your male hose pipe end from as I can't find any online?

I ought to get one, 'er indoors was not impressed when she had a second shower of the morning on one of our trips this year. She had to have a complete change of clothes.

Take the rose off first. It's universal and guaranteed to fit every tap.

You will struggle to get 100 litres into your tank with that on a French time-limited service point. (y)
