What Was The First Concert T-shirt You Bought ?

Bon Jovi on the These Days Tour. 1996 and it was at National Bowl, Milton Keynes.

The t-shirt became my sleeping atire for a few years, until it fell apart.

Big Day Out 1999 at Milton Keynes Bowl. Metallica headlined that.

Can't remember buying any T shirts before that.

I was there also. Made a mistake with having a couple pints and then stood the whole concert without getting to have a pee. My lasts memory was trying to get up the outside edge where everyone had already done theirs, very slippery. If I recall manic street preachers where on the bill, great band.

I had just started work, about 400 yards from the MK Bowl. We could hear them doing the sound checks from the office and we all went outside to listen ;)

First and only concert T shirt was Neil Young and Crazy Horse, Sheffield Arena 2001, wife threw it away a few years ago:(. Being from Yorkshire roots never liked paying the price but bought a few programmes over the years.

First proper concert, apart from local bands in clubs, was the mini riot that occured in April 1964 when the Rolling Stones were due to appear at a small Blues club in Rochdale, called off due to the riot outside but inside was hot and sweaty with good support bands, never did get to see them despite regular concert going over the years.

Last concert was Leonard Cohen in Lisbon 2012, probably be the last for me but what a finale!

Mine was my first gig at the tender age of 15: Skid Row at the NEC, 1991
supported by LA Guns, and Love/Hate

My dad drove me and my best mate Ben. The idea was he dropped us off, went home, and collected us later. Though he disobeyed orders and got himself a ticket from a tout. This was to set a precedent for many of my teenage gigs, until Ben's older brother passed his driving test.
The most outstanding was an Ozzy gig, where he ingratiated himself with a group down at the barrier and partook of their 'funny cigarettes'

Didn't buy it but first concert T shirt was Thin Lizzy in November 1976. I was at university and happened to be passing a truck unloading, lent a hand and was given a T shirt and 2 tickets for my trouble.

Queen at Wembley stadium 1986. Still remains as the best live band I have ever seen.

Buzzcocks, Brixton Academy.

Saw the Stones in Saarfend in 1964 maybe. No tee-shirts on sale. No idea what they played. All I heard was teenage girls screaming. :D
