What stickers do you have on your van ?

Is it time I modernised our sticker?

We have "Once A Marine Always A Marine" (I'm an ex Royal Marine) and "Believer since 1987" (wife's a huge Deacon Blue fan)

I manufacted this but my good lady is against putting it on the van. I even removed The Shed text for her.
Now it's plan B. The compass.

NZ sticker and NZMCA (New Zealand Motorhome Association) “wings” sticker.
It’s very popular here to name your vehicle and emblazon the luton with that name.
Although I, affectionately, refer to our van as Big Bertha, I refuse to put that name on the outside in case people think it refers to the driver!

i used to have 'keep death off the streets, kill a boy racer today' on all my previous vans for 30 years but have not bothered on this one, dont know why

Non . We’ve not even got any decals. Oh we’ve the official NC500 one on the back window from when we did that a few year ago . But that’s it .

Thought a few of the lyrics from my favourite song ‘Dignity’ would be very appropriate on our Mobilvetta K yacht.

Nothing but the makers name, I put my crit'air & emission stickers on a perspex panel and place in the windscreen when required.

RE Manufacturer logo, other than the fact if the van was stolen, gives 'plod some idea of what to look for' besides the reg plate which can be transferred otherwise would remove the free advertising. Have an Eagle, and a fridge full of beer stickers on the back.
I think the more you can permanently tweek the van, the more work a thief has to neutralise, and there will always be the tell tale signs that only you the fitter can recognise.
Not the one for bragging where I've been, re Elks, Bulls etc. Who else gives a dam.

Wow !!! we have canine royalty on MHF.

We've seen your good lady wife at many events across the UK over many years, i can't say just how much she has inspired us.

Can i drop off my Irish Terrier with you guys for a few weeks this Summer..... training and terriers:whistle:

Keep on the road and keep them doggies rolling.

We have enough with out new puppy so I will give a terrier a miss

GB plate, Crit Aire, Umvelt Plakette. And only because these are necessary.

Oh and stickers about my alarm system fitted by a well known Taunton Firm :)

Always avoided stickering up the back of our van, not sure why just think i always preferred the plain and simple look. I guess as it's now a bit more lived in after 6yrs of family use it may be time to add some character ! Only sticker so far is the obligatory Corsica ferries one that you get whether you like it or not when you cross with them, good PR though.

So what do you have on your van and any pictures ?

Thinking about country stickers, one for each we've been to with some cheating to add the Cornish and Corsican ones:)

Question about some of the more often seen stickers: the moose sticker, is that for those that have been to the Nordics or is it just depicting a traveller ? also the Spanish bull or donkey i assume is for those that have been to Spain ?

I have a NCC Approved Workshop hab service sticker for 2019. I am all about being a rebel; don't even have a tattoo :rofl:

Thanks

I have always thought those Hymer cut-outs are a bit brash. And are not removable, unless you get a new panel made.

Although N&B are now in the same group I prefer their more low-key approach - just the Model name and discretely underneath 'by Niesmann & Bischoff'

I really, really know I shouldn't but if folk choose to have a sticker on their van saying...

"If The Van Is Rocking, Don't Come Knocking"

or...

"Adventure Before Dementia"

or...

"Spending The Kids' Inheritance"

I tend to form an opinion of them that might be a tad harsh.

Designed this one myself and got a local company to cut and fit it using a quality automotive vinyl, really pleased with the result...

Just by coincidence my trailer arrived this week, the one we'll be using with the camper to carry the bikes and "stuff". I carefully selected one that was aluminium grey and had a grey tarpaulin on it. They were on special offer at our local bau market. Now realised why they were on offer..... the sides are all logoed up with the stores name on it......

May have to pinch some of these crafty ideas on here to recover my pride instead of having some text about "6 Tage die Woche geöffnet, Online-Shop"..... on the side of the trailer, the children think it's hilarious:unsure: with the older one mentioning something about an invasion

on hindsight, i maybe should have put the scruffy dog sticker next to the bbq sticker, as that is a far more accurate representation of what really happens.............

Hmmm now i'm working towards removing the ones i inherited when i brought the van . Trouble is , they cover various ding's previous owners have felt the need to add , so bodywork and paint is required . I've scrapped an old cycle rack and fitted a new fiamma rack , got two GB stickers left , which will both be gone this year along with a adac recovery sticker , of which i'm not even a member .
That will leave me with a Devon , and separate cornish sticker stuck to the bumper . Much as i enjoy visiting the two counties , i don't feel the need to advertise the fact . None of my car have any , my van don't even have the manufacturers markings fitted .

Mother asked me to find one for her car , which i did , but she won't fit it .

It read's , Mini , beware of german imitations .

Just the Stormtrooper one in the bottom corner.....
SWMBO wouldn’t let me have “NCC 1701” on the back
Apparently, I’ve got to start acting my age.....
Bit late for that I think ;):)
