Seems that some are overweight because of the tools and spares, or they sacrifice something else. Or maybe just don't bother with weights.:ROFLMAO::LOL:

I have a piece of plastic that can become a tool box, spares shop and emergency accommodation. It can also get me home if the problem is too great for it to fix right there. It is called good breakdown cover insurance. But I do take pliers, screwdrivers and a length of solid strand twin and earth and a small u-clamp. That is in case I break a cable or the cruise control (mechanical) cable decides to jump off the spigot on the fuel pump. For all the rest, there is breakdown cover and of course, a money card of your choice.

A pair of sliding doors and a conveyor belt. 😁

Trainers broke one year so I bought a cheap pair from a Chinese shop, when I tried them on in the van they were different sizes, took them back and with all the same style out on the floor still couldn't make a matching pair so I had a refund.

Thanks all, a few items that I don't currently carry and will be adding to the shopping list

What obd2 cable do you have that links with your phone, have one for old laptop that I haven't used for a few years, as got rid of the sports cars we had...?

In an earlier life, when I lived in my self build Iveco 60-10 ex moto cross, 6 tonner, I used to carry a load of spares and tools and even included a gas welding kit.

I changed (at different times) a gearbox and an injector pump and a clutch master cylinder, all on the road side.

Where I got the energy from I just don't know!

Recently I have had slightly newer vans and pay other folk to service/fix them.

But I do carry a fan belt for the van and a spare water pump and regulator for the dwelling area.

JJ

As you have a Renault Master I'd probably say another Renault Master would be your safest option😅
Nothing wrong with Renault..BUSBY.

2 spare tyres, one for punctures and the other in case I don't like the local cuisine. 🍮🍔🍟🌭

I've got a brand new Towing eye for a Renault Master if you're interested...... bought it after we got stuck, then never needed it again! 😂

High visibility jacket (unless you carry one anyway) - they are obligatory in much of europe.
And make sure it’s within reach of the driver’s seat.

Small 3-in-1 oil
Small WD40
Plus some of above

I will obtain electronic copies of manuals, photos as necessary. I lug around 4kg of manuals which I rarely refer to (being a man!).

Self amalgamating tape, it will fix ANY leaking pipe that isn’t required to take a lot of pressure. Cheap too and doesn’t have a “use by” date....
