A little help please from all you lovely Funsters......

Carrying a spare loo cassette can be a very desirable thing, but storing it less so, especially if it's full!

For my fledging motorhome bits business, I've sourced an airtight and watertight tough box which is perfect to go in the garage for all the types of loo cassettes that suit the various rotating bowl loos found in many vans - but - some vans have the bench type loos with much longer cassettes, and sourcing a box for those is proving a little trickier.

How many modern vans actually have these though? Would you mind answering for me on this poll - do you have the smaller, squarer cassette to suit the rotating bowl type loo - similar to this (even if yours is not exactly the same - I know they vary in size a little):-

Or - do you have the bench type loo with a long, thin cassette, similar to this:-

Answers on the poll above please, thanks for your help!
We have 2007 Fiat Ducato Timberland Destiny conversion with
Bench type

Thanks everyone, I've got all the info I need now.

I've got one that gets full about 3am when my partner wakes me up and tells me that 'my' cassette need changing
Mr Ginam says the oven is "mine" so I have given him the cassette :giggle:(y)

Thanks everyone for all the feedback! I think that's given me a pretty good idea that the smaller cassettes are in much higher volume out there. I knew they were for my vintage of van (2006) but wasn't sure for the newer ones.

If anyone has a long cassette and really wants something then drop me a PM, I do have one option but it's very close if it will fit or not and, typically, it's more expensive.

Didn't know there was one like that - thank you.

That's fair enough, nothing is for everyone! Thanks for the feedback.
My long one goes inside a sports bag on the rear of the van.BUSBY.

Not sure yet, until Heidi - Hymer arrives in June. I think a bench type from Thetfords. I notice on their site and Amazon it’s possible to buy a “toilet freshen up” set or new seat and a new cassette. Following advice previously on here I think, I will have a suitable plastic storage box for a cassette in case we need to change it and wait to empty it. I don’t think I’d like to put a full Cassette in that smart bag above, just maybe at the end of the ‘season’ to store. Seems a good idea to get a ‘toilet freshen up’ kit when it arrives, to give peace of mind when we head off somewhere for the first time, in case the old cassette has faulty seals, and anyway, I guess a spare is a good idea.

I fitted one of these.

It's highly effective in that it's such a pain in the a*se to get the full cassette in it that I always remember to empty on time.
Sounds a good idea. Will look under my HYMER when she arrives to see if that is a possibility. Otherwise we have a bin liner and bag for the one not in use.

Keep in mind we don't have a garage, if we did I'd probably have gone for a bin bag or maybe one of the large plastic bioxes that Ikea do.

Don't have a cassette now, and the CDs are becoming usless;)

No garage, so, I want one of those Two on Tour versions. Just cant get offf my zzzz in order to decide how to fix it all with the stuff ive got lying around. Should it be big enough for ramps as well? I could create enough questions to ensure it never gets started.
