Can't tick 'A'. The further away I am from boring barren deserted or crowded beaches and sea the better.
Peace and quiet, rivers, streams, canals, trees, hills and green are my priority. Any cost between zero and £30 suits me although I only stop occasionally on official sites by necessity. I've never stayed at expensive/posh sites as I certainly do not want swimming pools, bars, kiddies play areas, restaurants, games rooms.............

I voted A but would prefer £5 or less a night. Even better no facilities and free.
Nothing is free somebody is paying somewhere. I bet insurance on the place would be a lot, as you are bound to get someone trip up and claim for something.

I would pay £7 a night if it included discharge of waste and it was clean and tidy in pleasant surroundings. We very rarely go on EHU

I’m happy to pay more, but to drop toilet waste would be a very nice inclusion, and I think it would stop people just dumping theirs.

£5 -£6 per night with dump for grey and Elsan, rubbish disposal (recycle) optional ehu £3-£4 per night.

B for us as were big satellite Sky TV watchers and the television is often on for 7-8 hours a day and find that the 2 x 100amp batteries don't last if heating and lighting is also on in the cooler months

Maybe you could ask for a discount for not walking in their beautiful scenery and taking up use of their fresh air.

Our TV has not been on for 8 years - since I met Basia.

If you are watching the telly that long each day is it worth travelling!!!!!!

Sandra the paramount consideration for us is security, can we park up and leave the van whilst out walking, sightseeing or whatever.

The First priority IMV. Is the ability to legally park overnight. Any thing else would be a Bonus. In todays world a £10 fee to stay a full 24 hrs would not be out of order. But dry waste disposal would I suspect be essential. The "take your litter home" message has a tendency to be ignored. Imposing a 2 night limit with suitable penalty, might be prudent to give the ability to "Eject" some of the less desireable elements who infest many area`s.

As waste is so expensive now days I would not mind betting that the waste bins would be used by others that are not even in a motorhome. Probably why they charge a bit more to cover for this.

You’ve got to remember, it’s going to cost £26 to get over on the ferry in the first place (MH +2). I usually leave the car in Largs and just take the bikes. It would be nice to stay over. But I’d only do it if there was a view from the van.

Not being robbed or gassed would be first on the list i think. ?

I have never considered going. But might, for the Country Music Fest:, My comment where general and would pertain to ANY proposal for "Aire" type stopover.

For myself, as we both like eating out, especially after a days driving, we generally opt for the likes of "Pub Stops". Where we eat and Sup anyway and get free overnight.

Thanks everyone, will be calling in at The Garrison today and pointing them in the direction of all the comments over both threads. I know they are keen to try and get the motorhomes off the street. Ferry fares don’t seem to put off visiting motorhomes.

For a decent aire probably £5 a night with toilet.

Oh!

And there was I thinking they are trying to attract MHs to enhance the local economy.

But maybe it's for 'Councillor McTwit' to get his relatives off his back.

Voted C. Would pay up to £5 per night with cassette emptying and grey waste disposal. If water is provided think it should be an extra charge as it is in a lot of aires in France. Perhaps £1 per 50 litres.
