What have you done to your motorhome today?

Had new front wheel bearings and brake fluid changed...drives and stops even better now

Finally got around to making and fitting a switch box for the router. So now it's appropriately fused and I can switch it off without pulling the cable. Added a usb point while I was there.

The weird round metal thing is an air freshener apparently... Blame the other half.

Removed the cat we have missed for 24 + hours , she loves it in there ? Must have snuck in when I briefly got something out of freezer ( different ordeal) yesterday 😂😂
Hope you had left some Cat Litter available? 😄

What length of aerial cable have you got coiled up there from the antenna to the router? My current RUT950/Panorama set up has about a metre, as well as the tails, but I’m repositioning when I fit my RUTX11 and was fretting about shortening them. I might just coil them if yours are alright.

The antenna is immediately above. I think it comes with 2m of cable. I didn't fancy cutting and recrimping the ton of connectors.

New van came with one 230V socket and a 12V "Cigar lighter" socket. Out went the cigar lighter socket replaced with a 2nd 230V socket. Used the redundant 12V supply to power a triple USB socket.View attachment 893308
Who else thinks the USB socket looks like Marvin the Paranoid Android?
Who's Marvin?

Those usb c pd sockets can deliver up to 30 watts. That's enough to run a laptop. No power supply or inverter required.

We found our neighbours cat asleep in our van, the day after we had been cleaning, restocking etc. So about 18 hours I guess. He was not in the slightest bit bothered and didn’t appear to have gone to the toilet anywhere. He dies love a snoop in our van :roflmto:

Just finished fitting my first ever solar panel. Been panicking for a week over drilling a hole thru the roof but in the end, simples..... connected to victron smart mppt and straight to leisure battery connection on my CBE panel. Battery Master also handles trickle to veh battery. Very pleased with myself.

Fitted a replacement truma auto igniter for the gas fire.

Learned that the little 3 v battery can be accessed without taking the whole cover off!

Reset the solar by connecting bits in the correct order.

Reset the 12v control panel

Accidentally release the boiler dump 😔

That’s enough for today!

As the delivery of the van is finally just around the corner, I went to a shop and bought a TV for it. Noticed the Chromecast doesn't get enough juice from the TV's USB so some preparation was needed. Could've been done with a simple cigarette lighter twin-socket but..

The install plan includes even removing the toilet mirror but that story is for another day :)
