What have we done!!!!

The little bundle of trouble is a Patterdale called Zak.
Met a 9month old last week, lovely boy but was a bit excitable and disobedient, owner was a bit surprised as he had been responding to all her commands and seemed to be doing well in his training, she said it was like going back to the beginning, the bond between them was obvious.
Enjoy Zac he is a lovely little chap.

Yes, they seem to learn then go backwards, went to training classes which she loved but because a few weeks until exam she went backwards and failed!! You do forget what it I like to have a puppy, Zac looks a lovely little thing, mine always liked a squeaky, but not newborn lambs - they worry her as they squeak like a baby.

We have a Patterdale Lab cross. Our vet told us the combination was liable to be untrainable.

Not quite true but close. He's 12 and a half now and still enjoys his mad spells.

Sorry, she just doesn’t like the sound lambs make. I’ll say no more, enjoy your puppy, they soon grow up

anks for all your kind comments we’ve had him 24 hours now and after a difficult first night he’s settled down well. We’ve got him a crate that’s a bit too big for him now but should seem him through. Our last one wasn’t crate trained so a bit of a learning curve on that front. Took him out into the garden today so he has done a lot of his business out side

Unlike yesterday when he kept missing the training pads, that’s why we’re limiting his access to the kitchen and utility room as it’s tiled.

His fell asleep on my lap as I type this so I’d better put him in his crate for a nap 💤

How did last night go with the crate?

When we got Nala we put her in a crate incase Yogi rolled on her and squashed her. That lasted a few hours after which we couldn’t bear their howling any longer! She terrorisés him now.

Over the years we gained a reputation for being good with problem or hard to rehome dogs the first was storm a white one eyed standard poodle who was so physically and mentally abused it took 4 years to get him to behave like a normal dog the list was endless but we got there I spent 6 months on the floor hand feeding him. Then Gertie a deaf pug cross within 3 months I taught her basic hand signals and could let her off the lead in enclosed areas, our latest Poopy a Sheperdoodle terrified of men and crowded places all I did was when away in the caravan asked any men passing to approach her and make a fuss of her and walk her down busy streets with my hand on the side of her head 6 months later sorted. Dogs are amazing animals show them love care and affection and they'll repay it a hundredfold

Quite well he woke me with a yap every couple of hours to be let out but no accidents in his cage or anywhere other than his training pad. Sleep is very overrated 💤
