For anyone considering whether or not to apply for a Crit Air certificate the following may help.

Certificates are required as below
Hiya my Crit Air sticker arrived yesterday, do you know is there is a stipulation where it should be placed on the windscreen?

Found this on the RAC web site.

According to the instructions we received it should be in the corner of the windscreen on the side nearest to the pavement. So, on a RHD vehicle it will be driver’s side.

Ours is mounted on the top corner.

Can you tell me what 'classification' you us3d in the drop down menu? M1 (passenger cars) or N1 (Light utility vehicle) category?
Thanks

I’m sorry Eddiex I don’t remember. I thought we entered Camping Car but, if I am wrong, of the two choices you list I would probably have gone for light utility vehicle.

Someone who has done it recently may reply with a better answer.

You will need an IDP if you only have a paper driving licence - like me. Just renewed mine today

No, it was in answer to the op who asked what legal requirements there are for driving in Europe. Some think an IDP is not needed but that is only if you have a photo licence.

Received my Help Flash V16 beacons. They come on once they are dropped onto a metal surface. Super bright as you might expect and run off a square 9v battery. Bought a two pack so they can be used in combo or if one is broken etc. you get the idea.

Any particular reason for not going down the photocard route ?
And is one required for Ireland? Both parts since NI still seems to be in or partialy in the EU.

Yes. I can't be bothered. I like my traditional paper licence.
Don't think the Garda are particularly interested in what licence you have as long as it is valid.
