What cost Dover to Spain tolls ?

Not when you look at the via Michelin costs above and we really hate long driving autoroute days this time of year. It’s all personal preference at the end of the day but I love that feeling of going to sleep in England and waking up in Spain.
3 days later😀

We always go Portsmouth - Caen ferry. Our cost v time efficiency route if we are just looking to clear France swiftly and easily:

Toll free dual carriageway Caen to Nantes. Then toll for about 60 miles towards Bordeaux, about €16, jump off at the La Rochelle turn at Junction 7. Follow good road across country to La Rochelle. Then dual carriageway and main road south to Saintes. Back on the toll road to Bordeaux - about €18, then motorway to Spanish border about €23. Total 57€ - £50 odd to the Spanish border at Irun. Then fill up with cheap fuel and big shop at Al Campo!

It's easy to avoid toll roads in Spain but some are worth doing if you are looking to just get south. Generally €20 would cover it.
Very helpful thanks for the intel

Yes agree all contributors...around €175 each way for us over Christmas plus the fuel, it was expensive and fatiguing. We are going to try Portsmouth to Santander next time.

I found vinci-autoroutes.com/fr to be good and it does class 3

We came down in January Dover to Crevillent. Hymer 778 pl, 5250kg, 8.5 mt long, 2.9 mt high towing a Fiat 500 on an A-frame. Class 2 at every toll, total €131.00.
Didn't think you could tow with an A frame in France and Spain

I suppose it depends on what van you have... I did Portsmouth /Santander last spring for the last time I may add and for my 8.4m van and motor bike trailer the cost was £1400 rtn...and that was a reduced price as at the time I was still a full on old member.... we are off again in 4 wks this time Newhaven/Dieppe...same van and trailer £250 rtn... we never use paid sites through France normally and only pay for the stretch of toll to bypass Biarritz which is worth the few euro's... we are in no rush but could if we piushed on get to the same latitude as Santander in 3 or 4 days, so only 2 days more than the ferry
.So even allowing a generous 350eu for the extra fuel the saving for us is pretty huge..

We just did Catalonia to UK and back in our 2007 Hymer 504. Came via Vielha (fabulous) and French country roads as visiting friends near Marmande and Limoges, quite a tooth rattling experience but fab countryside. Went back via A20 / Limoges using peage to avoid centres of Rouen, Orleon, the hills around Cahors, Toulouse and to get us over the Pyrenees. The return was a much smoother ride. We have done this journey most years since 2012 and the peage does save a lot of time and the stress of weaving through congested towns with traffic calming (the latter has become more prevalent). Unfortunately haven't had our toll charge come through yet.
Most of the Catalonian motorways have had the tolls removed, Including from the border.

We are under 3 mtr height .Having never used the tolls what can I expect to spend ? Thanks
We have just completed that journey less than £200 Calais to Irun. About the same for diesel not counting wear and Tare and driver fatigue. The ferry back to UK in mid April. Is £600 Bilbao to Portsmouth
