What Chemicals To Use In A Thetford Lavatory System

Are there any alternative chemicals that u can use in these Thetford toilets ?

Something that u can buy from a supermarket

in the flush system ??

No. It needs to go in the holding tank. No need for anything in the flush water but you can get a pink liquid to use if you want to. Most MH's use the fresh water tank for flushing.

I thought it was just me. I smiled too. What a lovely word; soooooo much better than 'toilet' or 'loo'.

Household cleaners may cause permanent damage to the seals and other toilet components.

Meaning bleach based cleaning products....as bleach would to many plastics and synthetic rubbers.

I have SOG & use Aldi Bio 'sachets' (gel pack thingies that dissolve) so I don't have to pour liquid. The cassette contents smell better (if that matters) when I'm emptying and the inside of the cassette stays clean. Works for me.

Another with a SOG we don't use anything in it and the paper and solids break down to nothing even using the thicker paper,you don't get smells in the van as the fan starts as soon as you open the lever ok it does pong a bit when emptying but no worse than those chemicals.
Wouldn't have a van without one.
