They'll only do that if you use it at a time when charges are applied, eg weekends, or go over the fee-free allowance each month, you need to read the T&Cs. We got charged once in either France or Spain, can't remember which, as I used it on a Saturday but at the time I had no choice as the fuel pump wouldn't accept any of my other credit cards and we needed fuel so I was VERY glad I had it.Curve charged me fees when I used in Spain a month or so ago. FX fees. I dumped the card and app straight away and gone back to Halifax, Metro. And just got Chase to use as the give interest and cash back
Probably ... or highly likely? You do need to understand their T&Cs and keep track of your spending but it's not difficult, we just keep notes on our phones when we spend and how much we have left for that period.Hi, Thanks to everyone for their input...
I've used my Revolut card in the past to obtain currency but what I'm unsure of is whether they charge at, say, supermarkets, fuel stations, etc for each transaction. I remember falling into the trap of not checking when we first started travelling and got charged every time we went on a toll road... sometimes the toll was only slightly more than the fee!
Rather than taking out another card I'm tempted to stick with Revolut but I'm finding it hard to find precise information on the Revolut site as to what their policy is... perhaps it's me being dim... probably!
It was withdrawn a few years ago I believe and definitely isn't back for new applicants, only those who already had a Zero card would therefore get new cards issued when the old ones are due to expire (ie same account card). That’s good, I will tell my son, they had stopped last year when he looked , maybe it was just a temporary thing during Covid. Thankyou for that. Nick and I have had one for years.
They’ve also increased the interest rates on our current account a fraction today.
