Sat at home waiting for new motorhome to be ready

Friday; managed to get the grass cut, albeit roughly between deluges and then had a friend round for a curry as his wife is back in Yorkshire on baby sitting duties.

Saturday: 120 metres of hedges trimmed, most of it double sided. Trailer load of hedge trimmings taken to the local decheterie and then the nice stuff; BBQ in the garden.

Sunday; lunch at our friend's in Dordogneshire. We knew that they would be a payback as it turned out this involved two or three days grafting on their roof sometime in July. We got our own back with a promise of two days labour from Eric and his brother-in-law when our abri will need erecting. What goes round.........

While driving to our friends house we witnessed a rather unusual occurrence; on a quiet country road just outside Busseroles there was a honey buzzard standing on top of a wood pigeon carcase, plucking it, feathers everywhere, and another wood pigeon standing on the roadside watching this carnage. As we got closer the pigeon flew off, then the buzzard flew off and then unbelievably, the 'carcase' flew off

So, if you see a half naked wood pigeon called Lucky near to Busseroles that was it.

This coming weekend, only 2 days after getting our first ever MoHo (Beni Mileo 282) on Wednesday, we're taking it to Three Cliffs in Gower. 4 other families going, 1 rented MoHo 3 tents. Exciting times!

Busy, busy, busy. Last week we put our cottage up for sale and have a couple coming round to view this afternoon. Tomorrow evening we're heading off to Italy and if we end up around Lake Iseo then it will be a bonus, otherwise we will have found somewhere else on route that takes our fancy. Plan is for 3 weeks or so in Italy and 4 weeks in Germany on the way back. (but that's also subject to change)

Working in the morning but off to Lyndon Top tomorrow night.

It's only about 25 minutes from home but it's been months since we've been anywhere for various reasons so looking forward to it.

Just arrived in South Shields for mother-in-laws 90th birthday weekend.
She’s as bright as a button and is looking forward to luncheoning out tomorrow with the family. Still looks after herself in her own home and still organises her life the way she wishes. I so hope I’m half as capable as she if I get to that age.
