I'll answer that one, we used Nationwide free insurance and extended it to 180 days cost us £200 for the extension.

We are thinking of doing a chateaux and gateaux tour in the Loire valley, we often pass through there and cycle past them but have never visited any of them, the gateaux is just an added atttraction :giggle:

Pick up a hydra lift trailer to carry our scooter and outboard without exceeding our rear axle weight limit. Then to Puglia, Greece and Croatia to explore some islands and bays on our inflatable, newly named “Atobe”.

know I have posted before but a quick glance at the title tonight and my first thought was a folding one with a lid.

Did you find a spot to stay anywhere near the Dali museum in Figueres?

Ours to include places we have not visited before in the UK in our trips.
Lucky my first bucket list completed.

Mine is very modest compared to all you seasoned Motorhomers. It's to get my campervan over to the Continent. Not the best of timing given Brexit etc but I think I'm ready to try driving on the right. Maybe the Netherlands or France. Nothing too strenuous, just to dip my toes in the water, so to speak.

Agree with PeteH ... this is the year to get over and clock up some experience before you need to take Brexit changes into consideration.

We’re pretty seasoned travellers in Europe but last year was our first year in our camper.
We went twice - a fortnight in Germany/Holland in the height of summer and then another fortnight in the south of France mid-October. we enjoyed it do much were following a similar pattern this year.

Having retired from caravanning after 45 years the first thing on our bucket list is FREE NIGHTS by way of Britstops, etc. and spending the normal night's fee on a nice pub meal. Not to mention...'far enough for today. Let's just stop at his Aire for the night in France. Bliss!

Monet's Garden once Mrs Colpot is mobile enough.
May i suggest parking there overnight and getting up in the morning with pre paid tickets, head straight to the lily pond and get to the house 20 minutes before it opens and is influxed with Japanese tourists with an amazing ray of cameras. It gets annoying after that !

We are going over the Channel next week so I phoned my insurance company. They said I needed a green card after 31st Jan. That was arranged but then I got worried. I went on the dvla sight and was told I need an international driving permit in France but not Spain. Thank goodness I checked before travel. Likely not to be checked but for £5.50 was worth it for peace of mind.
