Well that’s compromised our holiday…

In France at motorway junctions there is a closely dotted line between the first two lanes to warn drivers about changing lanes at this point.
Hi.
Portugal......Two solid white lines, before until after off/on slips and at the end of some dual carriageways, the NEAR side lane has to give way. ALL very well signed. Bit unnerving the first couple of times on the d/carriageway bits.............. BUT YOU SOON LEARN..
. M&S ? ohhh TYRES....:ROFLMAO:

My guess is she was in one of the outer lanes and pulled back into the inner lane just as the OP joined. This would explain why the inner lane looked clear in the mirror but still there was a collision.

Too sensible to catch on here. :)
We do change the length of the lines near lots of hazards but rather than using shorter dashes we use longer ones.

I would have been happy to lend you my A frame to carry on your travels, had I been anywhere near where you are. North Notts though so no good what so ever.
May be some other A frame owner could. may be?
Isn't there an a frame supplier on your route, South Wales may be?
Could perhaps hire you one or even repair yours.

I'd go further than that.
I'd install solid lines on the approach to junctions to prevent drivers cutting in last minute to dive into the off ramp.
With modern technology (cameras etc) it should be a doddle to deal with offenders.

Those shoes don't look the best to drive in, (assuming they are the other drivers' in the photo?)

According to the OP she said she was a police person so I would like to think th
That anything she said was a complete fabrication.
m also standing by the drivers on their phones. The only proof is a thin one and that’s me observing them breaking the law.
And me. It is So common as to be part of the driving test. You can even tell from behind when the call starts and stops.
Did she have a dash cam? In my experience your insurers won’t fight hard (read at all) for your excess - 50/50 is easier. Took my daughter 2 years to reclaim all her losses after she was hit on a roundabout by some lovely young chap who suddenly decided to drive through her because he was in the wrong lane for the exit.
If you are Hit from behind the other driver has no defence.
know for sure I would have called the police before I even got out of my vehicle - t
Same here plus I'd want the triplicate accident report form filled in and signed before they went anywhere.

That happened to us twice in France, and we were using the roundabouts correctly. Both times we got the other drivers to complete and sign accident forms and both times were regarded as not our fault and no excess to pay.

The sandals were the passengers, the converse trainers were the drivers.
