I have recently fitted a Victron 75/15 Smart Solar with a fixed connector outside the van to connect a Dokio 100W folding panel. This morning around 11:00, one day away from the shortest day it provided up to 68W, and stayed around 65 - 66W while the sun was out (in England) - a lot better than my fixed panel which was in the shade!

Angling the panels makes such a big difference.

I've toyed with the idea of fabricating some sort of tilting device for the roof panels but you'd really only get the benefit if you can park at the right angle....

Folding panels are certainly food for thought.

I did similar with a separate cheap Bluetooth mppt (£40) and 200w panel as said the ability to position and angle makes a massive difference.I also switched the mpprt so I could feed the roof panels through it and direct to the starter battery for maintaining it when the lithium's are hibernating at 45% charge
