Weather warning Sun 19 Jan 2020 Valencia area

Right, to put you out of your misery.
We are in Agua Amarga. Coords N36.94125 W01.93757
We found this gem courtesy of a, shhh! don't shout, German App 'Stellplaz'
€ 12 a night plus €3 for leckky. Yes pricier than this tyke would prefer to pay but it comes with Showers, Toilets and Wifi.
It's right by a beach in a village that, with a lick of blue paint on the doors and windows, could double for anywhere in the Cyclades.

Will probably give it a go in a few weeks, would I be able to get the car trailer in??

Threw me a swerve ball there! .........it's in Campercontact and been open a while, wild campers used the car park on the beach for many years.

No worries at all.
Imagine a rugby ball shaped piece of ground. Draw a line between points. Left side, units parked at right angles to low cliff. On right side units parked as left side.
Further, in the middle facing points, there are long pitches holding two units each. That's where the Gin Palaces are.
Mrs Emmit has just pointed out that on the receipt, there is no Tel. No. (It could be the 'Ghost Book'!!!)
Tel. No. +34 82035765

It's called the AguaMarga Camper park.

Yes, we stayed there October 2018.

Very good and super convenient for the town and beach! Nice view of the town as well, especially at night.

Morning guys, how we all doing?
What a hooley that was! When Mum and Dad come to stay, we give em our bed and rather than mess about with the diner or "rock & roll" couch, we just throw an airbed on the front room floor.
THEY, slept like babies right though it and WE spent all night panicking that the slide out awning right above our heads was gonna rip off its mounts and head off to Morroco:unsure::oops:
We unzip all the panels from our air awning and just leave the air poles up to allow the wind to blow through. Good tip given to us by an old timer down here and it works.
Wind calming down now but still raining and half the campsite is giving our inflatable canoe envious looks!:giggle:
Puddles all over site but not too bad but the road outside is well flooded from "run-off" off the fields. Just had to nip out in my pick up and tow the gas fitters Transit van out of a flooded ditch after the oh so careful Spanish truck driver forced him off the road!
Have fun chaps............brew time!(y)

Waiting around in Vilanova at the moment and it's still very stormy outside.

It it picks up overnight we'll probably head down to Gandia tomorrow...........anybody in that area got an update about conditions and indeed on the AP7 towards Valencia.

Well we had rain this morning in Javea, but that stopped at 10.30 and the highest point around here had hail stones. ?
The predicted rain never came, still very windy but the sun has come out the surf is still coming off the sea and hopefully coming to the end off it, ? took these at 11.00. ? Bob.

It

We liked it there as well

We're on El Pinet Camping Park at La Marina. Lots of rain yesterday but during the night one humdinger of a thunderstorm with rain and hail lashing down. But this morning it was all bright and clear again, although the mud splashes were above the van windows! Was fine until about an hour ago and it looks to be going downhill again. Forecast is for more rain but no thunderstorms until around lunchtime tomorrow.
We were going to move on today but as it didn't look any better further south thought we'd give it a couple more days here. 'Tis a nice spot but unless you're here as folk leave, very little chance of getting on - as myriad folk have found. We were dead lucky.

Like the look of that, might give it a try.

Of course, the storm has made me think of GLORIA written by Van Morrison.
It looks as though it was filmed on a different planet.............oh no it was just 1964

This was Camping Didota, Oropesa today 20 Jan 2020.
Sent to me third hand so have loaded onto YouTube to enable me to post a link.

I understand no-one was hurt but looks like an awning left behind.

Dont mean to xxxx on your chips but I'm sort of glad Javea was full when we called.
Yes it blew a bit further South but we missed the drama, that was up North.

It's still moving south ? keep moving ? or is it a case of you can run but you can't hide. ? Bob.

We are in Nerja and it has been chucking it down for 24 hours, gone quite cold and some of the mountains behind us have had a dusting of snow. Lashings of lovely thunder too. Been mostly scorchio here for a couple of weeks.

UK Foreign Office has issued a severe risk warning for Spain due to severe weather. Been warm and sunny at La Marina south of Alicante, forecast showing system moving away from here so should be okay now.
