We don't know how but after our service yesterday morning and arriving in Evora Portugal I noticed we have lost our fresh water filling hole cap.
It may have not been locked and then stolen as we did stop for groceries or it wasn't on properly and it worked loose (although Phil definitely says he put it on correctly and locked it 😁) we won't apply blame (well I did scrape the alloys last week and then needed new tyres) so neither of us perfect, obviously I'm more perfect.
Anyway I need between Evora and the algarve Portugal a dealer that may have a replacement.
In the meantime I will check out if leroy merlin Portugals answer to B&Q (just down the road) have a automotive section and see if I can get a temporary fuel cap to get us through.

Any advice please

(changing husbands is not an option😁😁)

Plastic bag and elastic band springs to mind if you lose your new one chaps ;) Safe travels:drinks:
No its jam lids all the way

You are both as bad as each other ;) have you any silicone jam pot covers in the kitchen drawer?
I tried my silicone jam pot cover (bought with overs that I never use) it didn't work, nice idea though.
The good news is an actual jam pot lid did work, well enough to get us to a motorhome dealer that can order us a new one.
Thank you Martin for thinking outside of the box.
Just as well i like nice jam 😃.

We lost one once and, as a temporary measure, used our lockable diesel cap in its place. We replaced the diesel cap with a cheap friction fit cap from a fuel station until such time as we were able to obtain a new water cap.

You are in the country that is the Cork capital of the World and asking for suggestions for a hole bunger upper???
To be honest I was looking for suggestions for a company that could order us a new one, but point taken now put a Cork in it 🤣🤣

I would have thought a caravan accessory shop may have one, it’s a standard type of cap or order from Amazon and have it delivered.

On my Morelo the windscreen filler point is the same cap as the fresh water and is hidden behind the engine cover so you could use that as a temporary measure 👍

Thats a standard filler points used by dozens of converters, should be able to get one from a caravan or Motorhome dealer.

Fancy Morelo fitting cheap crap like that.

Last trip I lost my water cap at Zaragoza went back to the Aire looked all around the service point walked all around the Aire, the boss found it in the garage.

Now it's going to cost a fortune to get all the locks changed so they all share the same key (speaking as the owner of two different Zadi keys on my keyring) !

I'm of the conclusion we shall just have a different key for the water cap 🙂

I thought with the extraction key you could reprogram the lock to your key.

It's a while ago Lenny HB but I thought that special key only let's you remove the complete lock barrel from it's housing to allow you to fit another barrel, unless of course you could buy a preset barrel to suit your key number ?🤷‍♂️

I take it that was from a jar of Morelo cherry jam?
