We didn’t expect this! (NEC 2025)

Keith is probably my favourite, although Rog is still wanting Meissen to keep the pottery theme more directly.

Did you know that Keith Brymer-Jones makes those ceramics with words stamped on? We discovered it last night, and than dug out our cream and gravy jugs to find they had his name on the bottom!

As long as it's not known as tearful Keith :Eeek:
Great choice of motorhome for your adventures. (y) Bob.

It's actually being called Jones, and Keith only when it's being a bit tired and emotional about something a rusty tufty van shouldn't get emotional about.

Our mugs in Denby are of course from Denby pottery. Here are our new ones by Keith Brymer Jones.

Nice one! Ours has still not arrived - Eura (and M&C) are busy doing a recall on the rear plate.

To be honest, if we son’t get it soon, I will be wishing we’d gone for October and a spec of our choice (leather seats, mostly).

We wanted the summer away, and are now diddling it away in fortnight chunks, not really going away, hoping each time for good news.

So frustrating! 😫
Hope you hear some good news soon

That is a real shame, I guessed there would be some issues as this is a new concept, but the problems with the rack is a fundamental design fault.
Lets wait and see how the October date goes, we have asked, and they have said all still on schedule.
We will be in a similar position soon, we have sold our house, so in 6 weeks we will be homeless and plan on backpacking around Europe to fill the time. Lets hope its not too long for any of us, M&C do seem a nice company to deal with, how have you found them in general?

We bought from dealer stock as we wanted to get away immediately, back in January. Given the choice we would have taken the £2000 option for leather seats. We’re not really happy with the cloth ones so are getting front and rear seats recovered in leather. It’s being done by Seat Surgeons just north of York. We have been quoted around £1700. They can complete the work in a day, but the lead time is 4-6 weeks.

I hope they do a good job but their clientele includes expensive classic cars and the like, so fingers crossed. We’ll know at the end of the month.

Not silly at all. Poor fixing and its coming away even without anything mounted from what I have picked up.
Many thanks for that, for some reason I thought it was the angled plate bit at the rear of the van which is much more prominent on the Xtura (pic1) than the Crossover which to be honest on the Hymer looks like it's only there for show really .... lol

Sounds familiar. We spent 12 months waiting for our van. We won't forget that long wait and reprogramming vacation at work constantly 😫 Good luck, soon you'll be off-road.

It’s this thing on the left. It’s bolted through the GRP wall with some extra support in the core but, apparently not enough extra to take the 65kg load rating.

I expect the recall happened when they started shipping the big cupboard and bike racks it accepts and people started getting close to that 65kg.

MaLin m&c are nice enough so far but they haven’t been able to get our van out of Eura. Steve the MD is a bit too nice I think. Some of the service people seem switched on, others - in other departments - less so. That said - we don’t have our xtura yet. Neilfg has had more dealings with them and may have stronger opinions.

Also, Steve@M&C knows we are all in touch ;-) collective action FTW!

I’d like to claim it’s all about exit angles but I suspect xtura’s sculpted derrier is just for show too.

What “ The rack” area of the van that seems to be the issue?

It's a lovely van all the same 😍
I might get one after my Crossover & when I hear how you guys are liking yours and all the little new concept niggles are sorted out with them
That's a big chunk of a plate there, they'll need a lot of back plates support for that bad boy 💪

I see now looking back at previous posts, it needs re-designing and taking off that rack, it spoils the rear look to me.

Wonder if they’ve had a few cases in Germany where the wall has been damaged with 65kg max on it?

That’s why I said a few months ago on here Paul that out of the choices 2 I would choose the Hymer, new concepts always get problems and need tweaking etc, the Hymer wall construction is proven over many years.
