We are unwelcome in Woodbridge!!

It's more to do with the small number of self entitled halfwits spoiling for the majority of us, than the Council.

Yes. It's not rocket science. This is how Powys CC do it.

Easy to see which carparks accommodate motorhomes. They also let you stay overnight for free in some!

Why can't every local authority do something similar?
Ah yes but the county council Powys is in Wales and Woodbridge is in an English district council. Totally different legal powers and to some extent countries. Even where local authorities have equal powers to legislate the politicians are the ones who decide what to do at a local level. My 30+ years of working in and consulting for local authorities leads me to believe that the only thing common to local authorities is that they are called local authorities! Every one is unique.

Yes, it's a car park - designed for cars not for vehicles which are basically large vans.
So why do they supply 8m x4m oversize bays for large vehicles?
why do the attendants then not ticket those in cars parking in those bays?

Your post said "No ,sorry .It is a car park . nothing else."
If it is a location with oversized bays for larger vehicles than it of something else rather than just a car park.

If attendants are not ticketing vehicles which shouldn't be in those bays then the right thing to do is complain - as I have in the past.

That does not change the fact that car parks designed for cars and not large vehicles are just that.

Woodbridge I agree don’t seem to want Motorhome Visitors.
Station car park plenty of empty spaces but unclear whether Motorhomes able to park. Checking the council website seems NO Motorhomes are not welcome there. Very disappointing!
I will contact them again myself.

Thank you for your email. We understand your frustration in regards to larger vehicles parking in Woodbridge as we currently do not have spaces large enough to accommodate larger vehicles in this location. We will make a suggestion to our parking management team to see if they will consider adding larger bays to accommodate larger vehicles. We have attached a link to our website below that informs you which of our parking places do accommodate larger vehicles:

Pretty much the same reply I had except I also had a lot of stuff about safety and then the suggestion that as a blue badge holder I could park on yellow lines and alight into oncoming traffic!!

When did any part of the Bylines Network publish anything factual?
Would you like to give examples of bad reporting from Bylines?

The reporting in the article https://northeastbylines.co.uk/the-race-for-middlesbrough-mayor/ is spun to support Labour. The story about "charity worker Susan Gill", which was full of lies, has mysteriously disappeared since last night. The report presents the incidents described in the linked report "administration’s employment of a political officer for a non-political post" as a criticism of the (now former) mayor but fails to mention that everything was done on the advice of and/or signed off by the former Chief Exec and other chief officers.

The report at https://northeastbylines.co.uk/teesworks-houchens-silence/ has not been updated to include several responses by the Tees Valley Mayor, nor is there any attempt to explain why McDonald dare not repeat his allegations without the protection of parliamentary privilege.

Thanks

That’s some good reporting from Byline Times.

Freeports are known to be highly problematic and it seems that this one stinks.

Great to see a spotlight shining upon it.

Voter suppression is insidious and that was my point about East Suffolk getting caught up in it.
