Looking for a compact 7m motorhome. Ideally have a tall fridge, not under counter type. Prefer island bed or arrangement that you don't have to climb over each other to get out! Garage for storage.
I've looked at the Bailey Alora but the fridge is all electric and pulls a whopping 40 Amp / day otherwise it would have been ideal.
Do you have any suggestions what to look at please?

That gives some more information.

In relation to narrow down its length I think that all coachbuilts and A Class have the habitation bodies at 2.3m, with one or two at 2.2m. To get narrower one would have to go to a PVC, but I cannot think of one that would have an island bed - no room to get round the sides.

Are you looking for new or S/H? If new are you prepared to wait a year or so, unless the dealer has a failed sale, but maybe not to your specification.

To be used in 'all seasons', even in UK, one needs good insulation. I would suggest aluminium sandwich is best.

A further point is that most island bed models are more than 7m, without sacrificing a lot of forward living space.

It is all compromise.
Carthago compactline only 2.12m wide

I find it strange that after the OP mentioned he was looking at a British built motorhome costing circa £75k, most of the posts are suggesting he spends a further £50k on an A Class.
Dont recall OP specifying British manufacture?

And Adria and Burstner suggestions are both coachbuilts?

His first post said he wanted a compact 7m motorhome, a tall fridge, a garage and had a preference for an island bed. He gave one example of a British built motorhome which failed on fridge type and asked for suggestions. No mention of new or second hand, body type or country of origin or budget. There are some very good second hand A Class vans available for £75k. I think the suggestions have all been made with the best of intentions and there is nothing strange about sharing good experiences about a range of compact A Class motorhomes that have been around for several years. There is now more choice of compact (narrower) motorhomes but the British built ones have not been around very long and not surprisingly there are probably fewer people who have experience of them and are in a position to recommend one.

I find it strange that the OP started his request for advice on a MH with two items - a fridge and an island bed.
Chilling wine whilst having hanky panky? 🥰

But I get a a much bigger rear bed and much bigger garage. 😁
Yeah but you carry loads of crap plus I get a double all to myself rather than a poxy single! :giggle:

Rear bed can make a huge double. :X3:
Yeah but by the time you've done that you'll be too knackered to benefit from sharing it! 😄

Adria Compact SC and Burstner Nexxo Van T 700 certainly are, with very similar island bed layouts in a 7m long van no wider than a PVC.
