I have a 2013 possl 2win which is similar to globecar pvc’s!
I have a gas powered heater and water heater (Truma combi4) just recently it keeps dumping the water from the heater through the frost protection valve! This wouldn’t be too bad if it didn’t dump the complete water tank contents overboard too!
Is there anything I can do to stop it dumping the water, in freezing conditions I can understand it happening, but not in + temps!?

Sounds like the dump valve is faulty, they should dump a 3° & below but won't reset until up to 5/6°.
Not faulty but in a PVC there's not much insulation to keep it as warm as in a coachbuilt so they do dump sooner, had this with our Globecars.

Temporarily you could wedge a piece of timber against the button or a small block of timber held in place with a cable tie.
That's exactly what I used to do ... :giggle:

Bodge it - bend the end of the overflow pipe under the van and clamp it with a cable tie and then try the valve a few times to see if you can figure out why it's tripping at higher temps
He dudnt say what temps it was dumping at. He said :

“Is there anything I can do to stop it dumping the water, in freezing conditions I can understand it happening, but not in + temps!?” + 7 once , what was it overnight?

Not sure from that what temps it dumps at, but if the valve is working correctly , then clamping it could cause serious damage if the temps drop to zero.!

clamping the pipe would stop it dumping the full tank when the valve is open and so allow a bit of investigation into whether there's a fault with the valve or not.. The OP sounds clever enough not to leave it like that through a cold winter

I doubt if you could clamp the pipe very easily as there is normanly only about ½"sticking out under the van.

Oh course the obvious solution is to get to Spain 😊☀️

I’m sure I’ve read about a batch of them that were dumping at higher temps, and I’m sure it was on Adrias.

Wait until you see the size of the one on the Carthago! :giggle: No, I'm NOT telling you how big it is ... you'll have to wait!
