I’m sure I’ve seen or read about the best/ cheapest bio / non bio tablets to plonk in the loo holding tank ?
But can’t find the thread - anyone know ?

Looked at the lidl branded bio tabs and they're €3.99 😳 bleach is €1.30 😎👌

✅ but bleach doesn’t dissolve the ‘deposits’ into liquid
That's not a problem for those who drink Glenratspiss.

My thetford instructions say DO NOT USE BLEACH so I don't. like the bio liquid, only need to carry that not blue/green and something to wash the clothes.

Never read the instructions 🤣 been alright for 6 years anyway. Wonder if Thetford have an interest in the toilet chemical business 🤔

We use thetford blue sachets, Costs us around £15 for the year.

Hi all , I have been using Aldi bio clothes washing tabs in my loo this summer . No problem with smell and a box of box of 18 costs £1.79 that's less than 5p per tab . I think this is much cheaper than the green and blue liquids .

If touring Le Continent the product will not have the word Bio prominently on the package as in UK.. Look at the ingredients for the word 'enzyme' - it will be in small letters so take your glasses. Nearly all are Bio/enzyme, so easy to find.

Another is 'actif'

Does this work out any cheaper?
Someone said once if you empty daily you don't need anything, tried that though smells like an old pub toilet!
I think you've answered your own question. We have a SOG so in theory don't need to add anything. This is true but only up to the point of removing and emptying the cassette. :)

We use bio liquid. :)

I have met several people who have tried the Bio material and it does not work It does not work because you MUST remove any residual traces of the blue chemicals or whatever you have used before. The 'usual' chemical treatments kill the bio action. For those curious about such things, after using the Bio fluids, everything but paper is dissolved. I can honestly say the smell on emptying is a huge improvement.

As above -- those baby Bio bugs are delicate and only use a dilute spray to clean the bowl

It must be within your widgetry skills to design a CPS (Cassette Positioning System) that does it for you. ;)

Do the plastic skin of the tablets dissolve ok in cold, shall we say water😬,or do you have to pierce them first.

Just drop the sachet thing in the hole with the first flush, close the flap and ignore. Somehow it does it’s thing. Never tried to worry about how it dissolves.

We use Lidl Formil Bio liquid. If we buy it in France it's Formil Actif. Just a glug is plenty and turns everything to liquid.
