Hi, has anyone used The mobile caravan engineers for warranty work on a pilote?

None, assuming they are recognised as capable of the work and have a trading relationship with the convertor.

I think you'll find Pilote insist on dealerships doing both agreed warranty work and annual habitation check to maintain the bodyshell guarantee

I will try Pilote again and see if they can offer someone other than the Newark dealer.. someone who replies to emails..

try Signature at Preston , they did my annual service and hab check even though I bought new from a different dealership.
but phone them rather than email

I don't know of Pilote are different but many dealers will not accept the vehicle for warranty work if they did not sell it to you.

hi i found that in the past too,,but the local dealer offered £37k for mine, the dealer 5 hours from me gave me 49k what would have done ,,?

Similar here - bought 120 miles away but it did turn out to be a pain!!

yes ,,,there the chaps that offered me £37k for mine ,,they didn't really want any trade ins ...but i probably ask them to do the servicing ,,because the nearest to me ,,

firstly you only have to have damp check to maintain the Pilote body integrity warranty if you so wish , I paid £300 for a full habitation service and damp check.
Next year it will be a damp check only

no its not due oil and filter until year 2

Hab check, water ingress, and engine/vehicle service are all seperate and different billable items. You may find someone to do all three, but that may come at a cost of them being expensive for one of the jobs.

full habitation service which took about 3 hours which included a comprehensive damp check
They tested all the gas appliances and the fridge in case any carbon monoxide was leaking inside .
water system , battery charger output , truma heating , tested the gas pressure , interior lights just the normal stuff

I may be wrong but after trying to get some warranty work on ours, the nearest dealer informed me they would get paid 2 hours for a full external decal replacement by knaus. Which is probably why some dealers obviously steer clear unless they have sold you the vehicle, with us it was their attitude they were doing us a favour undertaking warranty work that made us never think of using them again for habitation etc even if Thetford is quite close.
Not sure where you are but Pullingers sell Pilote so may be worth a call or look on website at dealer list.
