Lenny, is it the meter or app that failed on update, I am not sure my meter has ever had an update. My meter firmware is v3.08 and the BT dongle v2.10 Mine is the BMV-702

It's a BMV 700 with septerate bluetooth dongle. It's the meter that's failed I think it was running V3.08, App V5.2 hadn't used it for 3 weeks until yesterday, when I turned it on the app updated and then said it couldn't connect to the device without an update. it's now trying to update the meter to V3.10 but keeps falling over.

Had read that sheet but not that far down. Did find out that the firmware is downloaded into the app, so I thought maybe the firmware file is corrupted. Uninstalled the app and reinstalled, no different also tried disconnecting the BMV700, no change.
What it does say is if it fails try using an iPhone as it rarely fails, so next time my mate is passing he will drop in with his crapple phone.
A bit much needing a £1250 phone to update a £130 unit.

I did use an iPhone for my update, though not a £1250 one.

Perhaps the reset procedure for the bluetooth dongle would help.

Sorted used the boss's crapple pad.
After updating worth checking your settings I noticed a couple had changed.

Great to hear that Lenny, no way do I want a last century iPhone when I have a fantastic Samsung but we do have iPads so can connect with them. It hasn't asked me to update yet even though I did a check for updates. Better use the iPad and try again. When I have good internet.
Spent the afternoon reading a lot of stuff written by A&N Caravan Services about Schaudt etc. a bit arrogant like Sterling but a lot of good info but quite a propaganda war between the advice of them and Vanbitz not a lot of love lost between them all me thinks.

Charles & Alan are both have a lot of knowledge on batteries but both tend to have their own blinkered views.
Both use to down gels but they have both mellowed at bit now. Alan recently posted on another forum giving good vibes on gels & Charles's later videos he doesn't diss them as much.
