Hey forum, quick question: I have x2 lithium leisure batteries that I want to monitor with a Victron BMV-712.

Looking at how its wired in draws me to conclusion that I am going to need a BMV-712 per battery to get the best results?

Anyone have experience with this at all? Appreciate your input.

If you wanted to see exactly what each battery doing you could fit two but in practice not necessary one BMV will give you the overall picture which is all you really need to know.

I have 2 Fogstar 105Ahr and the BMV712 shunt connected right beside them. So Victron app is set for total battery capacity (Battery 1 + Battery 2) and the Fogstar app shows me Battery 1 & Battery 2 status individually at any time. HTH

Forgot to say that nothing gets connected to the main battery negative other than the Victron shunt, its all connected to the output side of the Victron shunt. That includes the B2B negative and negative feeds to your hab 12v electrics etc.
