I have been insured with Bennett’s for a few years now. Hearing horror stories about renewal costs I was a bit concerned that this year’s premium may be stratospheric as I am now 76 yrs old. (Been riding since I was sixteen).

I did some on-line research prior to receiving my renewal notice so that I had something to compare with.

When the renewal came it was a total shock it had gone up by…….

…..£5.86 since last year.

All other quotes were at least £40 more expensive for similar cover.

Nice my mates Dad just turned 80 they won insure him anymore. He's so upset as you can imagine. He has a CB 1000 the street fighter style.
He is by far the safest fastest rider I have ever ridden with I'm gutted for him

Unfortunately all too familiar.

It must be possible to obtain insurance after 80 as the oldest member of our Classic Bike Club was still riding aged 84yrs. Unfortunately he has since died so I can’t ask him which company he was with.

Bennets . Mine has increased by 180 quid .
Been with them 3 years they can shove it.
Same bike( one year older so worth less)
Extra year no claim.
No convictions.
All the same as previous years .
On line search and got it for less than last years price.
They make it up as they go along

I shop around every year for all our insurances. The only way, it seems, to keep costs reasonable(ish).
