Very impressive neighbour on our campsite

Yeah, I met a guy in America once. He told me his life story of how he’d been in the Vietnam war and then came home and was awarded the MoH. He then bought a shrimp boat and made loads of money and invested it in a fruit company and just lives off the income from that.
I think he just mows grass now to pass the time.
Oh and he did say that he ran all over America for something to do.

Extraordinary chap.
Nice one!

Almost met a lad somewhere outside of Caen. Motorhome was in the car park within view whilst we were in a restaurant. Nice lad, seemed to be showman interest in underside of motorhome. Decided to go outside and introduce myself, shake hands etc but he ran off!!

We met a French woman, Corrine mid 40's I would say, who cycled up to the table and bench next to our wildcamp spot. She started prepping her evening food when it began raining. We invited her in and she said no, then it came down heavier and she said ok. Once the rain stopped she was back outside. She had a tent but said she said never constructed it, just lying in it as a sort of blanket instead. Sure enough that's what she did, layers of clothes, an unconstructed tent and her phone on a damp floor. She was mid way through her month.

We met a Polish lad at the border of England and Scotland. He wanted his photo taken in front of the welcome sign. He had cycled from Gdańsk , presumably used the ferry, to Lands End and was doing the Lands End to John o,groats cycle trip. He had the most enormous home made plywood panniers
that were filed with dozens of tins of rice pudding.

I met a morrocan lad who now lived in Holland when I was in Portugal in 2018 , he had walked and hitchhiked through Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, France, Spain and then Portugal, with just a small backpack and sleeping bag , he slept on the beaches or under trees , he'd taken 3 months doing it and spent less than €300 , I gave him a lift about 20 miles. I still get the odd WhatsApp from him .
I gave a stranger a lift one day - only to discover too late that he stunk to high heaven! Can't help wonder how your passenger smelt.

I think most of us on here would "run all over America" in our units too if we had the chance. I know I would.

He was actually fine. He swam in the sea everyday. I actually envied how chilled and relaxed the guy was .
