Vehicle battery direct solar or Vanbitz Battery Master?

Don't feed the ego...... I have to BBQ with "God" on Sunday........
Actually we are having Chickens slowly cooked on the Rotisserie! With Mediterranean vegetables, roasting underneath, dusted with sprigs of Rosemary, Lemon Grass and Oregano

BBQ? Phah!

I rest my case......

Just been up to my van in storage to fit the battery master.
The only relay that I could find was as per below - a CBE pair of relays boxes.
After double checking with a volt meter as suggested with hazards on, we wired it up as per below first photo, brown wire to B1 and red wire to B2 terminal with black to earth/ground. Presuming B1 is vehicle battery and B2/bank2 is leisure eddievanbitz
Anyway, after testing it, it all seems to work. Green LED light on and when we tried to crank engine, it turned to red before going back to green.

What I wasn’t sure was the vehicle battery was showing 12.6v and the leisure batteries showing 13.4v with solar working. Then we watched the vehicle battery volt climb up to 13v but whilst doing so, the battery master LED kept at green.
Is that normal? I was thinking that it might turn red when it topped up the vehicle battery.

Below are the 12v & mains RCD panels with their covers off.
I took these off first looking for the split charge relay but ended up finding the 2 CBE boxes after taking a partition out.

My experience of the portable solar has been the exact opposite. I’ve tried direct to the battery and via the OBD and neither will keep the Vehicle battery charged. This is why I’m considering the alternatives. If I do go for the Battery Master I think it will be in conjunction with an elongated trip to Somerset and have it fitted by Vanbitz while we‘re there.
Agree... also found the portable solar to be a waste of space. Like you, tried connecting ditrectly and via OBD. Neither worked.
