Vans for sale from series of dealers/brokers

W version. I believe from brochure plans that tge vehicle is lengthened to accommodate a longer bathroom.

Agile gearbox problems appear to be associated with using auto mode in tricky situations. Should be mitigated by using manual mode. Later ZF gearboxes also have problems with the clutch plate disintegrating.

Every once in a while N+B make a different layout to see if it works, we saw one layout on the wall in the factory and I took a photo:D2 the lady taking the tour basically said "dont get too excited about that as it won't go into production" a while later we saw the van for sale with a couple of bob off the price.

Looks a good quality van, if it had been 2 singles at the back I'd possibly have been interested.
If it had two singles it would be an 8000 or 800 series and would be a minimum of 8.5 metres.

Only if it's the original 60's s type and not that awful retro hobby of the 90's, no style points there I'm afraid.

With a forum name of Reliant...........Robin, Kitten etc...

Pray, which do you drive.............:yawn2:

I’d happily own it.

Providing some wants to chuck in half the price I’ll put the rest and test drive it for the next 15 years ?

I will update this thread. I bought the Flair the thread is about. WK07.

The 'bad vibes' were both justified and unjustified.

I watched both it and many others for a while. Had sold my race van and was in need of race track accomodation that had a good size garage. I struck a deal for just over fifty with Serenity on the grounds of a full set of fresh Bridgestone and a fresh MOT and service.

It arrived with fully fucked air suspension. Both front and rear. Along with lots of niggly bits. However a closer look suggested the fundamentals were all there.

Unfortunately for Serenity I wasn't in the mood to mess about. I had the air suspension fully refreshed and a ton of other niggly stuff dealt with by the (brilliant) techies that run the HGV fleet where I work. All with Serenity paying for it. It was either that or be forced to face action from solicitors.

To be fair to Richard at Serenity he was a gentleman. Held his hands up and agreed to all work and paid for it. I think he accepted the situation, and the position he was in.

So, the obvious stuff was done.

However the concerns regarding lack of use allied to having reached 'that' age range where stuff wears out was valid.

So, here, I will copy and paste the entry I this week made on the N&B forum...

In the last 12months I've been busy;
Entire cooling system replaced. The whole lot.
Full service
New suspension compressors
New water pump (house)
Removed the satellite + AV (data connection, laptop and tablets rule for us.
Removed all surplus bracketry (need to consider the weight of race kit).
New stereo system
New tyres
All brakes replaced
Cab air-con non-functioning, so removed it all. (Mpg up by 2!)
Spare wheel now in garage, under fixings removed
Acquired all kit to change wheels myself at roadside.
All bulbs upgraded.
Scooter ramps and garage mods removed
Oh,all bushes and dampers replaced - yep, the lot!

She's somewhere @200kg lighter now than when I bought
She averages 21/22 at 60mpg and I know temps are a constant topic. Well with extra air, and all new system she's smack on halfway and doesn't budge. If not under. Th
ere's extra cooling ducts to take advantage of the proper Iveco ducting for the radiator.

Oh, to add to the list above
New custom made mattress
Rebuilt front electric blind
New wipers

So, that'll possibly quench and outstanding curiosity!

The gearbox has had new shifter pack thingy and oil change which sorted out issues.

Plus I've torn her to pieces and effected a super deep clean. Even though she didn't look like she needed it.

I strongly suspect the lack of willingness to offer test-drives was down to rocksolid suspension, poor brakes, and iffy shifts.

She is now I believe back to her best. She's good underneath. No leaks. Anywhere top or bottom and everything works.

And to answer the undoubted curiosity over what she owes. I reckon @£55k as at today. After everything.

However, I have a vehicle I know inside and out. Moreover has an awful lot of renewed life.

Oh, all old parts like radiator, pump etc etc are now packed as emergency spares.

I just came across this and thought I would clear it up. webuyanymotorcaravan.com, Motorhome Depot and 4Front are all completely different unrelated companies. Hope that clears things up.

We buy any motorcaravan are like we buy any car. They are owned by motorhome depot who will try and sell the cream.
The customer who enquired and went through we buy any motorcaravan would have been put in touch with motorhome depot who would have offered to sell it for him. They sign a contract for 3 months that ties the customer in. If the customer part exchanges it anywhere else or part exchanges it he has to give 10% I believe to the broker.
I would guess 4 Front have just bought it directly from the customer and I expect Motorhome depot couldn't sell it.
Wrong unfortunately Simon. All completely unrelated companies.

its quite possible that the dealer mentioned is also the local agent for either or both of the middleman companies

I have just seen this and its probably irrelevant but I noticed that the Video for We Buy any Motorcaravan was shot just outside the 4 Front Premises.....
