Hi changing to van tyres fed up with harsh ride of cp tyres. Van used all the time so no need for stood long period comments.
Any recommendations please.

Just had some all season maxxis put on - instantly noticed an smoother ride - can’t vouch for much else yet as they are very new £125 a corner fitter

Falken,Toyo and Maxxis seem to be the most popular,we have Maxxis Vansmart on ours, much improved ride over Michelins.

Do you have winter or all season tyres and do all season have the snowflake symbol?

Vansmart AS/AL2 ,all season,3 peak/snowflake marked. 👍

I like Bridgestone Duravis tyres, just had the All Season ones fitted.

I also changed to the maxxis all season from continental and so much better…😎

Having had Maxxis fitted as standard on a KTM I bought it put me off buying them for my van, although the brand is popular for mountain bikes.

Also just got Maxxis Vansmart AL2 at £110 each, on 15 inch wheels, a lot better than the Michelin CPs that were on it, now in Alsace in France, so have driven rain and sun, motorways, country roads and towns.
Had Maxxis on my KTM and GasGas, they were ok, but replaced with Michelins when worn out, funny world.

Michelin Agilis CrossClimate if you want long life.
Excellent all season van tyres, 3 Peaks rated but not cheap! (Agilis is the normal van version).

Fitted a full set of Yokohama All Seasons (3 peak) last year to our van, replacing the original Bridgstone CP types. We hadn't driven far on our first trip before the wife and I turned and looked at each other, no need to actually voice what we were both thinking .... "what's happened to all the rattles?".

Someone mention that the construction (ply count) on the sidewalls of one of the aforementioned van tyres was the same or superior to the Conti CP tyres I run… can’t remember which brand it was… anyone aid my memory?

These are the ones I would probably choose! ✔️

I think the grace period for the snowflake symbol has now passed & you need either full winter tyres or chains ,definitely for germany
The snowflake is still here in Germany, it´s the M + S symbol on its own that has gone, every winter tyre must have the snowflake (3 peaks/alpine) symbol, All Seasons are fine as long as they have the snowflake, Min tread depth is 1.6mm but 4mm is recommended for winter tyres.

Winter tyres are not compulsory here but ´situational´🤔The "situational winter tyre requirement" is regulated in §2 (3a) of the German Road Traffic Regulations (StVO): This states that in winter road conditions (black ice, slippery snow, slush, icy or frosty conditions), only winter tyres may be used.

Nankang AW8, as fitted to your suspension previously. 😎

Yes they were. This is the final part to a smoother ride. Your dampers, rear air and now new tyres. Not much more i can do full air to expensive imo.

Newbie question, not fitting CP tyres is ok with the insurance companies, no chance of them reneging on a claim because of van tyres on a MH/camper?
