The reply I got back from Uuni, very encouraging !!!

Click, click that order !

So in order to learn how to make the pizza dough I tried with a first half batch this evening. After 2hrs of initial proofing I cut them into 5 equal parts for another proofing, at the back of the fish tank as it's 26º there. Pizza tomorrow night even if only in a conventional oven

@Ridgeway not too far from Manchester these people also have them as lakeland seem to be mail order or click and collect rather than having physical stock in store.

The pizza oven shop showroom address:
15 New York Mills Industrial Estate,

Summerbridge,
Harrogate,
North Yorkshire,
HG3 4LA

Thanks, yes noticed them as they are on the Uuni website as a named dealer.

Have ordered from Lakeland now and collecting on Tuesday, more dodgy hand luggage on SleazyJet

I have to thank Orridge as Lakeland just confirmed a delivery date of "some time in the future" and as Uuni UK are out of stock I called these guys above who DO have stock and were extremely helpful. One Uuni 3 winging it's way to my Mother-in-law house as we speak.

First Pizza/camper outing will be Ascension weekend, probably go local and to Locarno

I had email from lakeland saying order dispatched this morning. Hopefully turn up if they don't have stock.

Funny as they called me to say no stock and 5-7 days lead time depending upon the manufacturer, who told me yesterday their next shipment is due in 2wks. In most cases if it arrives a day or so later it's fine but I needed to be sure mine arrived my Monday.

Sods law yours will arrive tomorrow and mine will get lost in the post:ROFLMAO:

well Lakeland delivered yesterday but it was just the cover :( however i called them and they said there is another parcel that was sent and will be here today so hopefully be here for the good weather the weekend :) now all the decking has been cleaned and oiled and gazebo up :). Word to the wise don't ever get a lot of decking, the maintenace kills me every year with cleaning and oiling and painting a million tiny litty dodo type rails :(

mine has arrived yesterday, will collect it on monday...

Picked mine up on Monday. Managed to squeeze it into a large Morrisons bag for life so it could go hand luggage:D did get some strange looks as it went through security at Manchester airport.....

Now to assemble and test it. First burn should be tomorrow evening and then this weekend off to the mountains for a camping/pizza experience

Let us know how you get on ! I'm intrigued to know!!

mine arrived last night, cant wait to try out. 15th Wedding anniversary tomorrow but suspect serving pizza would mean a trip to the dog house so it might wait a bit longer for a test run.

ironically it has blinking rained since i have had it so still not had chance to use it. :(

Lit ours at lunch time and had it running for a couple of hours to see how it burns. Lit very easily and the hopper works well. Seems to stabilise around 350º although the swing is +/- 25º which is good on a solid fuel device. Really well made unit and some great ideas on it, very simple and effective, so far very impressed although need to get some pizzas in there

Is there a temp thingy you can get to see what the actual temp is? might have to invest in one.

Yes there's plenty although I'd be pretty sure that you'll not use it except in the learning stage but it may be useful just for that. I used the one I already have for my wood smoker but that tops out at 300º so I'm kinda guessing above that figure. The higher reading thermometers we have here are for the flue gas temperature on the stoves so they don't work either.

Ebay has some cheap electronic ones with probes for about £10 but again most only go up to 300º

I think mine gets to around 400 deg C
It doesn't really matter
It's well hot after 15 mins

Oh boys I'm so tempted. Please keep us updated, preferably with pictures of pizzas.

So we've had 2 pizza sessions at home on the Uuni so far, learning all the way.

3rd session was this weekend just gone out in the van:

Used the BBQ stand and just added a simple wooden shelf to place the Uuni on

Got the hang of the lighting process which is very simple and the cooker is on average ready in about 10mins. For the van we bought a Leifheit sugar carameliser that works a treat and is nice and small.

It's a great experience having freshly made pizza at camp, so far this was the best pizza bake we've had
