Tour Guide Wanted USA in September

To be fair in NYC with the prices in a cab to JFK being regulated, it's another reason to tip the bellhop given if you told a driver you were going to JFK without your luggage already being in his boot you'd likely get a drive-off from the driver (a regular cab HATES JFK). I've managed to get our of Manhatten several times due to this. It's one of few times that hailing a cab yourself is not as beneficial. (the cab driver stops you get in, the bellhop loads, and then announces it's to JFK after the trunk/boot is shut!), usually to expletives from the cab driver.

Top tip for from the cruise terminal is just use Uber, its always a madhouse in all the NYC cruise terminals for cabs and limos, and the Uber (XL) drivers seem to arrive within 5 minutes on the 2-3 times we've used them. The taxi queue according to the lady who we saw later that evening in our hotel who took that route took 3 hours!

Still there about 5 years ago when we went over for the new year, a few shops have changed around but all the shops were occupied.
Use to go there when in Orlando, also have Machine Gun America over the road for a bit off fun

If you want classic cars head to LA we went to a load of local car meets there and some lovely and unusual cars both in daytime and nighttime events.

Every Friday and Saturday night at 8:30 pmthe cars parade down Old Town's Main Street for the traditional and world-famous “Car Cruise.” A one-of-a-kind and unique experience not found at any other car show in Central Florida.

Yeah it still happens, theres another evening classic cars in the newer Sunset Walk development down by the Embassy Suites/Target at the hw 27 junction of the 192 too on I think it was Friday evening and maybe Sunday last time (It's published on boards on the "boardwalk" area there as it's pedestrianised).

We preferred the outdoor vibe of the "newer" development as it's got a lot of bars with live music as well as the classic cars, but also an excellent Fish restaurant https://wharfatsunsetwalk.com/

^ was my Dad's favourite meal of the entire trip.

Yeh Old Town was outside, and all the classics did a run down the street at a given time.
Bars n stuff aplenty.

Agreed most parts of LA are shite but we started at Huntington Beach and went along to Long Beach plus a few car museums and it was a great trip, drove down from Vegas then drove back up a few weeks later.

Last time there we did similar.
Vegas for 10 days in the Ballagio, hired a Camero SS convertable and drove to LA for a week then up to San Francisco.
Of course taking in the usual touristy stuff.
One memorable place we stayed in overnight was Barstow, all sorts going on there.........and not all good.

Vegas for 10 days in the Ballagio, hired a Camero SS convertable and drove to LA for a week then up to San Francisco.
Of course taking in the usual touristy stuff.
One memorable place we stayed in overnight was Barstow, all sorts going on there.........and not all good.

We stopped of here on the way down in Augustit was hot
