Buying Rimor Superbr
Hi, I am hoping to buy my first motorhome, and have started an enquiry with Easy Living Motorhomes. The company address is Coventry. However the vehicles are apparently stored in Germany, where there is a second company address. I have been emailing back and forth, the upshot is that the van has to be paid for, in Euros, prior to delivery (extra £200 fuel charge). Then I supposedly get 5 days to make a decision whether to keep it. If I choose not to, I get full refund. I have checked the company online: the only references are to do with Companies House. No reviews, etc. Anybody come across this before? The seller says it's normal practice to sell like this? Please advise asap
Thanks

Hi, We are on exactly the same path with you, looking to buy a motorhome and are talking with Easy Living Motorhomes. Got same answer when we called them. Take a look at the reviews, you will see that one is dupllicated and as you said, no review outside of the company site. Also, look at company house details for this company. They have almost got out of business due to account issues.

There is no way we are parting with thousands of pounds in these circumstances. If it's too good to be true (their cheap prices) then it probably is. I am so pleased I found this thread on here. It confirms all I thought. May be BBC 'Watchdog' would be interested?

It's only 'normal practice' by scammers...
Avoid at all costs unless you want to have a painful and expensive experience.

When I was a banker before the loonies took over, the rule was the numbers must add up for lending and the lending must feel good in your gut. If it doesn't for both, walk away.

If the van money is right for you, and you trust the people involved, go for it. But given what's been said, I would walk five hundred miles. And I would walk five hundred more. Just to be the man who walked a thousand miles away from this deal.

Even if the deal was real the price isn't. youll have to pay 20% VAT on top.
Walk.

If the original poster is reading this would be interesting to see if he is still going ahead, if not a wee thanks would not go amiss.

Hi Folks, I’m new to motorhomes so have been spending a lot of time looking at the various types/sizes/specs in doing this Ive come across another dodgy company using the same MO - they are Ka-motorhomes.com I found the swift Sundance 630L advertised at half the actual price using the same photos as the actual seller used (hoylesdenholme.co.uk).
so I won’t be buying from them.

Should be enough evidence there for Trading Standards to prosecute.

It’s a scam stay away Simple’s. Never part with any money until you have personally seen the vehicle or at least buy from a reputable dealer if buying new.
even the guys on Funster who are savvy and brave enough to buy from Germany will travel over to see the van first.

Sounds like a scam to me ,why would you pay up front and pay an additional 200 euros for something you haven't seen
If your serious I would advise the seller that you have a friend in Germany close to where the vehicles are who will view the vehicle ,if it's ok he will drive it back to the UK for you. See what they say
It's a bit like the scam where the seller is working on the rugs and can't arrange a viewing but will deliver after payment. Etc etc
Certainly a scam.
There is a link here
https://easyliving-ltd.com/reviews/
Is this the same company ,they also have an office in Germany.

Just looking at the prices for second hand motorhomes in thier website as an example 2009 swift Sundance 630 L, £17 k, sorry but this is a scam as are all the prices.all the pictures are in different locations, done with awnings attached etc.
My firewalls have blocked the website
