Probably best to remove it, you can guarantee that it will fail just before a big trip. As others have said they are notorious for being problematic.

Hi everyone and thank you for all the help and advice. We have an electrician coming on Friday to fit a socket as we are removing the cable reel. I think that is the first time Mr Gina M has posted on here. I told him just go on fun and get advice from the guys on there. I knew I could rely on you. Thank you once again
