Unladen weight - what would GVW equate to?

find a few mistakes when we log a vehicle on for mot, petrol cars listed as diesels diesels listed as petrol and vans in wrong class so would ignore the unladen on the v5 and go by the plate on the vehicle

The 3500kg on the plate is the gross vehicle weight, not the unladen weight. The seller is either an idiot or a liar. There is not a snowball's chance of that being having anything like enough payload at that plated weight. I would recommend just walking away.

you will probably need 6 tonne Gvw for your needs, but that comes with a heavier unladen weight ie. heavier chassis , the only way for your particular needs as I see it is before you buy go with the seller to a weighbridge get the front axle weighed + rear axle weighed +overall weight done and get the weighbridge ticket in your hands I advise all this as you need a vehicle that most people don't . example mine is a 4400 GVW carrying water , a gas bottles , awning, table, 2 solar panels 2 leisure batteries , + food etc. + 2 adults in M/Home only and I am nearly on 4400 GVW but, 20Kgs. over on rear axle weight. ps. had to leave Kitchen sink behind !!

V5C mistakes are probably due to dvla error on import, online does not even show revenue weight

Revenue weight is the gross weight, not Unladen weight.
The seller has spotted a typo and using it to his advantage.
The converters, Mclois, have deemed the van unsuitable for towing purposes or again that's a typo on their VIN plate.
Mclois VIN plate supercedes the Fiat plate.
I know this hasn't been but any van which is uprated may have a reduced towing weight amounting to the same weight increase..... 250kg increase =250kg reduction in train weight.
You may also have noticed on the V5 it clearly states 6 seats including driver, not 7 as the seller states.
It appears he will tell you anything to make a sale.
Don't walk away, run... Fast
