Underslung LPG violent valve failure and discharge in forecourt.

I have a simple question, having never maintain gas connections, how tight do you need to make this, for the o-ring to make it gas tight, a hand tight + a nip with a spanner?
I have a similar filter supplied by Morelo for the factory fitted gas tank. I can tell when I tighten it by hand it is tight, you can feel the o-ring grip/compress on the final turn.

Its a scary thread. So I see I should be aware of where the emergency cut off button is and be ready to press pdq. If that fails clear the area and jump the shopping queue to inform the station. Beyond that I'm confused if anything else introduces as much risk as it reduces?

I'd also say, might be wise to ensure all your passengers are in the shop...

I think the emergency cut off is for the attendant in the shop.

The only way to stop a failed non return valve on disconnection is to reconnect!
