Ultra edge limited company has anyone got a contact phone number as they wont answer my emails for a warranty claim

They will probably send you another one but tell you there was nothing wrong with it as if they admitted it was faulty they would have to pay your return costs.

I had a desiel heater that was faulty the supplier refused to pay return costs saying nothing wrong with it. Bought it on Amazon so I got onto them they credited my return cost & charged the supplier.
When you have problems Amazon is much better than ebay.
Totally agree with that.
I had an inverter fail with around 1 month of the warranty left and it was bought from Amazon. They did a return request and refunded my money a day after it got back to them.
I had a CTEK charger fail after 2 1/2 years (they have a manufacturer 3 year warranty) and when I tried the CTEK website they said the retailer has to process the claim. Called Amazon, told them what CTEK said and Amazon did the refund.
The advantage also with buying FROM Amazon (not Amazon marketplace) is they have no process to test returned goods so if something is faulty they don't faff around checking it before refunding the money.
With eBay you are totally in the hands of the seller - and whilst there ARE plenty who are good and decent, there are plenty who are not sadly.

Well i have had no phone call message or email from him since the one on friday thanking me for letting him know that he would recive it that day
This morning (monday) i recieve a text from APC that a parcel is arriving at the company that name was on the tape i used to package the box

Totally agree with that.

Hopefully Ultraedge will come good time will tell but amozan sounds a much better platform to buy from and now noted

Yip. When I return something to Amazon I take it to their local collection point (BP garage) 10 minutes walk around the road.
Hand it in and by the time I get back home the cost has been credited to my Amazon account!(y)

A bit more difficult when it's a third party supplier but they still step in and help.

Sorry I should have included "but not Marketplace sellers"!

Only had one stooshie with a Marketplace seller and when I got Amazon involved a credit from them appeared in my account within 2-3 days.(y)

I like buying stuff from ebay however I consider it to be disposable if it goes wrong. Most of the time cheap stuff works fine and saves you money, sometimes I get a duff one and just write it off.

Well latest is after boxing it up with 2 layers of 10mm closed cell foam in stiff double layered cardboard.and sending it
Today got a message.
Received today but would just like to let you know it looks like it has been damaged in transit ,that the wire cover is bent over on the end i dont know if it was like that when you sent it.

Hmm, perhaps that's a precursor to suggesting that you should recover the full cost of it by claiming on your insurance with the carrier.........

Yes or to say it was broken internally in transit.
I think its a strong metal cover. I am very suspicious as he asked did i send it like it.
(which of coarse i didnt you would have to be stupid to send something back that looks as if its been bashed as he discribes
Thought it would have been obvious by the condition of the cardboard packaging if it was transit damage.
As a shop /business he will aslo know it has to be reported with a certain time and probably signed for damaged.
I will just have to wait to see what he says when he has tested it no choice but to wait

Yep, I'm afraid that's how it looks to me as well. I doubt that they photo'd the damaged package on receipt which is what I have always done in similar situations.

Please make sure you report all of this to ebay.

Something that wouldn't spring to mind is taking various photos of the device BEFORE you send it away, to show there is no physical damage, any warranty labels are still intact, etc.
Easy to be wise after the event though!

They will have bought this from somewhere like Aliexpress at a bargain price to resell and they will have no workable warranty with THEIR supplier, and in this situation, when a product goes wrong, it is them who have to suck it up and replace it.
Clearly the cost of doing that something they don't want to absorb.

I used to sell on eBay but switched to my own on-line store as the transaction costs were too much. I remember one customer was actually shocked when something he bought failed just past the 12 months and I was happy to replace it (IIRC, he initially contacted me to buy a replacement?). Clearly Customer Service is not something people seem to expect from an eBay seller?

I am expecting good customer service its just it seems to be falling short of my expectations.
However until i have had a conclusion i might be being to quick to judge.
My hope is it all come goods and i can praise the seller.

I always do that as well when I ship anything, as when I sent my cracked 1520mm x 640mm window to EECO to have a replacement made (for £420).

Looks perfectly adequate to me, especially with the foam at the vulnerable ends.
I doubt that it was packed any better when they originally shipped it to you.

Clearly others do things that I only think of doing myself too late! (y)

I would agree. I don't think anyone could say there could be damage in transit unless the packaging was virtually destroyed when it arrived!
