just looking
Wonder if someone can help, as googling throwing up mixed answers.

Basically, we are planning on a long trip away across UK, Ireland and then on to mainland Europe (Spain, France, Italy and Portugal to name a few.)

Really struggling to understand the possible visa requirements.
We want to spend longer that 90 days in EU.

Does my marriage to an EU passport holder eliminate need for visas, or do I need to apply for a visa in each country we plan to stay in (longer than 90 days)?

I’m sure some of you funsters have done similar travels, so hope you can help.

Thanks.

We're off to Spain for a long trip, I will see if my passport gets stamped, I have a UK passport and Mrs. Odd has an Irish passport. I believe, as we are traveling together, my passport sould not be stamped

Have a look at this couple on FB. They do 9 months or more in the Schengen area every year. He insisted on having his passport stamped.

We’ve been lucky enough to have had quite a lot of trips in the past couple of years, within Europe and beyond. My wfe’s passport has always been stamped. So much so that she is going to imminently run out of space. Indeed when we were transferring through Charles de Gaulle on the way to Martinique (which is in the EU as part of France, even though in the Caribbean) we were called back from the gate because they picked up on their system (Air France) that the British passport hadn’t been stamped.
I think you are on far better ground ensuring your British passport is stamped, not that there seems to be much chance of avoiding that.

I'm on the shuttle, passport not stamped
Although my passport was not stamped, it was scanned, I expect I will get flagged when we come back and the 90 days has gone.
I handed both passports and put marriage certificate, I also ask if he needed to stamp the passport
